Macs run Office

Same as on a PC

If you’re a PC user, you probably use Microsoft Word for assignments, PowerPoint for presentations, and maybe even Excel for spreadsheets. Microsoft Office for Mac takes everything you’re used to on the PC and brings it to the Mac — in style. The Mac version of Microsoft Office has the full feature set of its PC counterpart, with even more features that are Mac-only. You’ll have no problem sharing files with the PC world. And you’ll feel right at home.

Better on a Mac

Running Microsoft is great. Running it on a Mac is better. That is because the Apple operating system, Mac OS X “Leopard,” offers some unique advantages. Example: Time Machine is the breakthrough automatic backup that’s built right into Mac OS X. It keeps an up-to-date copy of everything on your Mac — digital photos, music, movies and assignments. Now, if you ever have the need, you can easily go back in time to recover anything. You’ll even notice a few things in Office for Mac not available in the Windows version. For example, a Project Centre helps you be more efficient by putting all of your project-related email messages, files, notes, contacts, and schedules in one convenient place.

More Microsoft on Macs

Other Microsoft applications such as Windows Media Player and MSN Messenger are available for the Mac, as well. Mac OS X also supports many proprietary protocols, file formats, and other Microsoft-specific technologies. Of course, any program that’s not yet available for Mac — such as Microsoft Access or Project — can still run on your Intel-based Mac, using Windows.
