Proof of Purchase - UPC Bar Code Labels, Emails and Receipts

What do I submit as proof of purchase?

For Apple Retail Store purchases, submit your original sales receipt. The Apple Retail Store  where you made your purchase can provide a replacement receipt if the original was lost.

For Apple Online Store for Education (or Apple Telesales) purchases, submit your invoice or  your Apple Store Order Shipment Notification email(s). To receive a copy of your invoice(s), please visit http://store.apple.com/au, and click “Account” > “Order status” > “View order details” > “Print all invoices”. Items may ship separately, and therefore a single order may generate more than one tax invoice. Please submit all tax invoices from the same order with your claim.

For Apple Authorised Campus Store purchases, submit the original, itemised, dated sales  receipt showing all products purchased; the selling entity’s name and address; the serial numbers of the qualifying products; and the prices paid for the qualifying products. Handwritten receipts will not be accepted.

If I am applying for the Printer rebate as well as the Back to Uni rebate, each one calls for an original UPC label. What do I need to do?

If you qualify for more than one Apple promotion that requires you to submit the computer UPC label, you may use the original computer UPC label for one of the claims and make photocopies of the others. Please indicate which promotion contains the original computer UPC label in the space provided on the Back to Uni rebate coupon. Check the Terms and Conditions of each individual rebate for more specific information.

I bought my qualifying Mac and iPod purchase for the Back to Uni promotion from the Apple Online Store. How do I find the Apple ID I used to make my purchase?

If you do not remember the Apple ID you used to make your purchase, click on the Forgot Password button located under the password field on the Sign In with your Apple ID page. You may also update your password by visiting https://iforgot.apple.com.

Where do I find the UPC Bar Code labels?

For Mac computers and iPods, the UPC Bar Code label may be located anywhere on the outside of the box and includes the part number with barcode, the serial number with barcode, and the product description.

Do I have to cut out the entire UPC label?

Cut out the entire label, including the part number with bar code, the serial number with bar code, the product description and all the layers of cardboard and/or plastic.

Include the UPC labels from both the Mac box and the iPod box. Be sure to include the entire label, including the part number, the serial number, the product description and the bar code. Your claim cannot be processed without UPC labels for both qualifying Mac and iPod products.

My order qualifies for the Back to Uni promotion, but the product from my original order was exchanged. What box labels do I include?

If you are unable to include the box labels from your original purchase, please include the labels from your replacement product along with the receipt detailing your exchange for exactly the same product. The receipt is required to process product box labels that differ from your original qualifying purchase.

After submitting my rebate documents, I received a rejection letter for not sending the original UPC label. I threw away the product box. Is there anything I can do to still get the rebate?

No. You must provide an original UPC label in order to receive a rebate.

How much time do I have to resubmit a claim after receiving a rejection letter?

Your resubmission should be postmarked within 14 days of receiving the rejection letter.
