Let’s not forget the teachers, though; and at Ringwood North they practise what they preach.
“At the end of each year, we hold a graduation ceremony for our Year 6 students,” Brice says. “As part of the ceremony they’re presented with a series of short movies that have been produced by the teachers, showing the high points of the students’ past school year.
“We utilise the power of still images, video and music with GarageBand, iMove and iDVD to highlight the wide variety of experiences and learnings the students have shared thoughout the year,” Brice continues. “It enables the unique ability to summarise a whole year, while capturing the essence and feel of the events.
“The teachers are discovering what the students have known for quite some time – when it comes to the Apple environment it’s no longer a case of technology. Instead, it’s all about creativity; and learning outcomes simply occur without effort.”
