    Keys not Working

    • Written by from Canberra

Loved this for about 12 months although the top left plastic broke like every other review says but now the space key and the letter g does not work. Also having trouble with bluetooth connection. Such a shame that this has happened to so many people. I will have to look for something else now as I am not prepared to buy another one.

    Case and keyboard

    • Written by from Wem

Good case and I was very pleased with it. Unfortunately after 4 months the wretched case will not keep the iPad standing up. It keeps sliding down. Perhaps I have a faulty one. I would have agreed with the positive reviews had I written one two months ago but now I have landed up by buying an apple smart case because of this issue. It can be very irritating and makes it difficult to use the keyboard unless you type with one hand and hold the iPad up with the other. Disappointing because I was initially very pleased with the compact and smart nature of this.

Awesome Keyboard, useless as a cover

    • Written by from Sydney

I was looking for a folding keyboard but found it difficult to find one I liked for the iPad 2. The Logitech looked great and bonus it doubled as a cover.

    Functionality:
The keyboard has some great functionality and is easy to set up and responsive. The shortcuts are useful and have saved me so much time in responding to emails.

The use of the keyboard as a cover is next to useless. it functions as a screen protector only. The magnets are just not strong enough for the heavy weight of the iPad 2 and I find it comes undone as I am carrying it around. Compared to the apple cover with the same magnet attachment, the magnet on the keyboard seems to be weaker. As a result it provides inadequate screen protection.

The keyboard has good battery life, have not had to recharge it since I purchased this a few days ago and have been using the keyboard for approximately 4 hours each day.

It is super lightweight which is great as my iPad is heavy enough!

    Price:
This was a little expensive for a keyboard, it would have been worth it if it provided better screen protection.

    Look:
The metal case matches the iPad and it is slim and attractive. The metal case does scratch easily so need a cover to protect it!

Overall, a really good keyboard, not so great cover which means I will need to go out and find a sleeve to protect my iPad and the keyboard.

    Junk, junk, junk

    • Written by from PALM SPRINGS

Have gone through two of these pieces of garbage. For the price it is worthless. Piece in upper corner broke and logitech sent me a new device. Lasted about two months with the same problem coming back. Stay away from this poorly designed product. I would not even have given it a one star but was forced to do so by the system.

Very bad design to hold Ipad in place. Clip will crack and break. I didnt remove the ipad since it was orginally placed. Now it will not stay in at all.

    Poor quality

    • Written by from Blackburn

The plastic retainer that holds my iPad in place has snapped off after only four months. It is very poor quality for the price and I see that many other people have had the same problem.

    Proceed with caution...

    • Written by from San Francisco

Had mine for 4 months and am having persistent problems with the keyboard losing connection with the iPad Air 2. Sometimes it connects, but inevitably it loses the connection and the keyboard stops working until I hit a key and the iPad screen keyboard will disappear and the Logitech will work for a few minutes only to lose connection again. If you're lucky enough to find a suggested fix on the terrible Logitech support page, they don't seem to work. Loved my old ultra thin keyboard for my old iPad...but this is an entirely different story.

Loved it until keys started not working

    • Written by from Placerville

I love how this keyboard covers the ipad and the size of the keyboard is very comfortable for typing. I would have given this 5 stars but after my 2nd keyboard Logitech sent to me as a replacement started having issues with the space bar not working, then the delete button quit, then soon after the letter A......... It is unusable and of course out warranty. If you want to have a keyboard that works more than 2-3 months do no buy this one. Keys just stopped functioning on both keyboards I've had.

Magnets rubbing finish off Ipad Air

    • Written by from La Pine

Has anyone noticed the magnets that hold the iPad in place eventually wear off the silver finish in the area where the iPad sits on the magnets? I added some sticky back thin rubber pieces to keep my iPad away from the magnets but that is just a fix. I am not very happy with this as it has devalued my iPad Air. Other than that I really like the keyboard.

Constantly disconnects from iPad 2 Air

    • Written by from Calgary

I bought the ultrathin keyboard for the iPad 2 air. Typing on it is a pleasure. I like how thin and compact it is. The extra function button are useful for the iPad. However, there is one near-fatal flaw. They keyboard will often disconnect from the iPad even as I am typing or leave it for a few seconds. Then I will have to hit a key to get it to reconnect. It isn't fatal because sometimes I can type for awhile without disconnecting and it does reconnect. But it takes greatly from the experience because the iPad keyboard pops up everytime the Logitech keyboard disconnects. This appears to be a common problem based on what I've seen in forums. Unfortunately, this keyboard is not firmware upgradeable, so I don't think there'll be a fix.

Other minor annoyances are that you do need to slide the iPad at a particular angle to engage the magnetic strip. The other thing is that the magnetic strip is really sharp to the touch when it should instead be smooth to the touch. So there you go. I'm keeping it because the keyboard is really useful and lightweight.

    Broke after 1.5 week

    • Written by from Riverside

Broke at the home button just like everyone said. It defeats its purpose when the whole plastic breaks. This is my second time that I got it because I had warranty. It broke yet again even though I did not remove my ipad at all after attaching it.

    BROKEN AFTER 1 MONTH!

    • Written by from Waco

I was in love with this little keyboard until about a month after I bought it. That's when the tiny piece of plastic near the top left that holds the ipad in place broke off. Apple should not be offering this product until this problem gets fixed. I'm so angry now.

    BROKEN

    • Written by from Boulder Creek

The little plastic clip on the left side that holds the iPad in broke. This is my THIRD one that has broken in the same place. Do not buy this as it appears Logitech has not and will not fix this flaw. I rated the one star because that's the lowest but it's a complete failure and, as such, deserves zero stars.

The product is an absolute waste of money. Don't buy

    • Written by from Norwich

I have bought two of these Logitech cases with keyboard. Both of them brroke within a month . One of them had a broken key the moment I opened the box. Total failure for Logitech. The grips on the left side of both devices broke at exactly the same spot. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE of junk.

I pad falling out of groove in case

    • Written by from Kellyville Ridge

Hope this helps others. Only one edge of the i pad has magnetic properties and you must ensure you always place this side into the groove. For my pad the home button must be on the right when seated into the keyboard groove. If you do it on the opposite edge there is no magnet and it will constantly fall out.

Completely functional and reliable ~ so far

    • Written by from Calgary

I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing and was cautious with the commitment, but Logitech has served me well in the past. I've had this now for three months, and am very pleased. Only now charging it for the first time. Has been flawless. I suppose I need to wait and see. Great product (so far).

    Purchased 3 - all BROKE!

    • Written by from Whitby

I have the same complaints as above - the plastic part that you snap your Ipad Air into breaks after a few months. I seems that it's just a bit too small to fit the Ipad Air. I'm tired of purchasing these over and over again. (I buy them for a business and will not continue to purchase these). Do not waste your money, it will happen to you too.

Poorly Designed Plastic Breaks at Home Button Location

    • Written by from Diamond Bar

I have used two of these, and both broke in exactly the same fashion. The rigid plastic frame that the ipad secures into has a weak breaking point around the sleep button. After routine pressing of the sleep button, it seems the plastic flexes, causing it to weaken. The result is a crack right where the home button is. Both keyboards broke in exactly the same spot, and both broke after approximately 2 months of use. The keyboard itself works as promised with no problems other than the weak plastic issue.
