    Amazing Bit of Tech

Got mine in Nov and still really enjoy flying it. Compared to the P3 I had before, this is a pure pleasure to fly. Very intuitive with plenty of smart features. Have not had one single issue in all 158 flights. Even after flying indoors and a shooing centre, somehow managed to stay incredibly steady.

Glad the option for such a small and compact, handsome drone with 4K camera is available as it's very convenient to use in many place the Inspire isn't. Can now get some amazing footage on hikes etc as very little effort goes into packing and taking it along. Set up can be done within a couple of minutes.

Read a lot about tech issues, flywaways etc but 99% of those are user error. They usually haven't read instructions, calibrated correctly or fly out of Line of Sight. Worth looking into DJI's Making of the Mavic, fascinating R&D story.

MASSIVE issues with Remote Controllers for MAVIC

Waited for months for my MAVIC. I received mine today from Apple and wished I had never bothered.
Having unpacked the box, charged the batteries and turned the aircraft on. I was asked to update the firmware. This ran but didn't complete. It also disconnected the paired remote from the aircraft sad having now researched this, there is no current fix to pair again! Look up "Please Help!!! Controller not connecting to Mavic Pro."on the DJI forums for a very comprehensive rundown on this massive issue....

    Amazing

I had a phantom 3 advanced before the mavic and upgrading was the best decision of my life. As it is so portable it encourages you to fly it more, whereas with the phantom I couldn't be bothered most of the time as it was so big and chunky. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality camera drone. The only down side to it is the price, but for all the features that are packed into it it makes sense.

superior built quality and best of all, it's built for travelers

I can take this drone with me anywhere, it's small and compact. The built quality is superior, the camera is silky smooth in the air. I dont have much to say, but it's one of my favorite toys!

The drone you've been looking for.

DJI Mavic Pro is the drone you take everywhere. It small, light, and doesn't take up valuable space when you're sightseeing on vacation. The portability combined with a plethora of embedded technology to keep the aircraft safely in the air while getting videos/photos will blow your mind away. Intelligent flight modes allow you to achieve complex cinematic aerial shots with ease and most importantly, stress free.

Mavic Pro's camera is ultra stable and shoots video up to 4K. It has automatic modes as well as manual settings allowing you to adjust frame rate, ISO, shutter speed and white balance. Bring a third dimension to your photos and videos by adding an aerial perspective.

I've built drones and bought drones before. DJI's Mavic is the only one that is practical to bring with you and powerful enough to get those shots.

    Amazing!

Recieved the DJI Mavic Pro after waiting more than 20 days and the result of my footage just made the wait worth it. The security that you have/feel when flying this amazing quality drone is insane. Personally I strongly recommend this drone to someone that has had very little experience with drones (like me). AMAZING PRODUCT!!

    Optics, Batteries and Crashing

The optics are not very good in comparison to its predecessors. It is still better than a camera perspective on the ground and fun to have but, there are a few things you should know. Unlike other cameras, the sensor and lens are tiny on this drone. There is virtually no depth of field because of it. What it means is, you maybe taking an image of your home but, the trees behind it are out of focus. The area from front to back that is in focus is very small. Because of this, you need to be aware of what is going on and keep focusing on whatever your shooting, especially if your moving around.

You will need a few more batteries. They take long to charge. Always have one as a backup because you never know when you will just have to get that shot or something special happens and you can't get up in the air. The other two or three are for playing. These types of batteries are dangerous and must be discharged before going on a plane. Because they contain so much energy, they are also not safe to keep charged so they are designed to discharge in 10 days. You may not use your drone for a week and find out that the batteries are not charged up when you need them.

The other primary concern is DJI has had a lot of problems getting this Drone out to market. Other products of theirs have had the same issue. While the products are great, the service is not. Many have prepaid for items and had to wait well beyond promised delivery times.

I recently crashed mine. It will happen to you too. Where do you take it to get fixed? I had to ship mine across the country and paid over $50.00 in shipping to get it there and back. It cost over $350 to replace the shell. Everything else was fine.

    Happy Flying.

    Amazing technology, beautifully designed

I have flown many RPA's and enjoy watching as this industry develops.
The MAVIC (and DJI) continue to evolve and better their technology.
With so many features packed into such an amazingly portable RPA, this is definitely the leader at the moment.

Make sure you purchase CARE REFRESH WITHIN 48hrs (like apple care)

And purchase from apple, DJI have poor service at this point

    Got it! Finally!

1 Month delay but worth the wait! Its the best drone! However, my set has a little paint loss and the finishing isn't very nice to be honest. But its a mavic pro! How could you hate it!

The best drone I have ever had .

I had the Phantom 4 and the Inspire 1 Pro before this one, but it's just not as enjoyable as this one, by the way I'm a photographer and I mainly use my drone to record some footage of where go for shoot, so with all the photogrpahy gears I need to carry, the Mavic is a big helper, the size of it means I can just put it anywhere, even in my hand it's not a problem as it's so light! I know this sounds really like I'm advertising for them but the truth is that it's just that good and I really have nothing to complain about it, well, beside the long waited shipping.
