    Comfortable with different tips

The EarPods that come with the iPhone are extremely uncomfortable to me. I chose the purchase these in-ear style for the promised sound and comfort. The gel tips that come wth the headphones are poor. Twice I've had them dislodge from the stem and remain stuck in my ear canal. On both instances a colleague had to remove the gel tips with tweezers. I've kept the in-ear headphones and now use tips from Comply Foam. Best sound isolation for the price. I hear my phone calls and music clearly, even in noisy environments.

    Just what I needed!

I have small ear canals, so the standard, included Apple earbuds were *very* insecure (read "useless") when I tried to to use them.

These In-Ear Headphones, however, nestle quite nicely and securely in my ears, and the sound quality is exemplary.

I hope the brand-new Air Pods, which really appeal to me and currently have the same size and shape as the standard earbuds, will also be made available in a model similar to these.

Love them, BUT a good fit is the key.

I do not think it is fair to judge this type of earphone simply by their fit. As they are in-ear, one's anatomy has a BIG influence on the overall experience.

THE FIT: To me, these are the best fitting in-ear earphones I have tried. I have small ear canals and the smaller silicon tips fit perfectly and keep the earbuds securely in my ear, even during physical activity. Again, your mileage may vary depending on your ears.

THE BUILD QUALITY: I have owned two pairs of these in the last 7 years, having just lost my second pair to the washing machine monster. This second pair had started to crack a bit at the strain relief on one of the earbuds before I dround them in the wash, so it would've kept on going. This averages 3,5 years of use per pair, which is not bad considering I use them on average 15-20 hours per week. Also, these come with an extra pair of metal meshes, which is nice in case you're in a hurry and don't have time to clean them.

THE SOUND: They definitely do not compare to over-ear open-backed headphones, but because these fit me so well, I find the base and high frequencies are crisp and well balanced. Depending on your earwax production, you might have to clean the metal meshes more often, but a quick soak in hot water with a drop of dish soap does wonders.

OVERALL: If these fit you as well as they do me, they will sound great and stay in your ears, preventing unnecessary strain from them falling.

I like them! Comfortable Full Sound!

From a near 50-year old user with wide musical tastes, for what it's worth:
After listening to these connected to a 5S, I am pleased with them! I am running Apple Lossless media from both the Store and from my own old media collection. Summary: these do what is advertised-they accurately (key word) reproduce musical tones inside a really tiny space (an ear drum)

No "Loudness" or "Bass Boost" mode, which so many devices run as "normal" so if you are used to that, they may be disappointing.
They won't thump your skull with bass, but I find they pulse my eyeballs with good clean bass guitar and true drum riffs from many songs.

Fit is very important with these, and other, silicone-bud designs, to get the full range from them. If you can't hear yourself breathing, they aren't sealed to your ear. With nothing playing, they should feel like a set of earplugs. I bought these in hopes of better long-wear comfort than the EarPods. I love the sound of the EarPods, but the hard design bothers my ears after an hour. These have been comfortable for me for three hours now, with equivalent or better sound.

My test music is below, which are favorites which seemed to really pop better with the In-Ear Headphones than the EarPods. Try them yourself. My review might appeal to those near or over 50, or those who appreciate that recording philosophies have changed over the years. In particular I thought these performed really well with acoustic guitar style recordings.

"Won't stay in Ear" They are good headphones with a 1 year warranty

I just want to address these people who say it won't stay in their ear and then post one star. People have a misconception of how silicon ear plugs are suppose to stay in the ear. if they are falling out its because they are to big or to small. I have two different size ear holes so I have to to wear two different sizes. Its like women who wear the wrong bra size for 20 years and then realize when someone has to people it out. Any silicon based headphone you have to make sure is snug or you will not get the full sound.

    Great sound quality.

as said in the title, great sound quality, however the earbuds come off easily, so you should be a bit more careful when moving them around. Other than that, I actually love the In-Ear Headphones, the sound quality is REALLY good, it's definitely worth the price.

    Push 'em in!

I was also initially disappointed with these headphones and shocked at the lack of depth and bass. I then experimented with the different sized buds and pushed them in enough to form a complete seal. The difference was awesome. All of a sudden I got what I expected for £65.00! Push them in to get a full seal and then they work. I'm certain those who have complained about lack of bass and detail weren't using them right. Had mine nearly 4 years. No problems.

    Good quality, built to last

These headphones have lasted me longer than any of Apple's previous offerings, and the sound quality is much nicer than the Ear Buds as well. I've had headphones with better bass, but these don't lack in any part of the spectrum.

My only issue with them is the lack of ability to purchase replacement end pieces, but that's not too much of an issue if you use the included case to carry them in.

    Good Life ,

MY_Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic were immediately more functional than the ordinary Aplle headphone, supplied with an iPhone. But hey, they're a little louder, more noise reducing, and extra length to the cord when compared to any of the other headphones I have bought. Many thanks for staying true to iPhone, Apple. iTunes as good now, with these_ Bon vie!

    Great quality!

I bought these headphones nearly two years ago, and I think they're great quality, I can really hear the bass of songs and other instruments I've never even heard of in them, plus it blocks out background noise - which is a great for me if I want to block out the loud noise on the morning rush hour on the train and bus. I just got annoyed recently when the jack detached itself from the base of the former, leaving the jack stuck in my ipod. Yes, I got it out but now the headphones are non-functional.

    Brilliant Multi-purpose earphones but pricey

I bought these earphones to enhance my listening experience on my iPhone and they are impressive. Not only do they work on my iPhone, but they also work on my 7th generation iPod Nano and MacBook Pro. They function in the same way as my old iPhone earphones yet these are more comfortable. The only downsides of this product are the price and its tendency to fall out of my ears sometimes otherwise the sound quality is really good.

Very good detail, separation, bass clean but a bit lacking

These are the most detailed in ears I have ever purchased.

Treble: Very detailed, forward, airy sounding. Verges on harshness, but just barely passes for silkiness. Makes voices sound very emotional.

Midrange: Not overly pronounced, but very well separated. Does not sound muddy at all and very comfortable to listen to. MUCH cleaner than that of the EarPods.

Bass: Quite recessed, but extends much more deeply than say, the EarPods. Won't satisfy a basshead, but it's there. The bass is very tight, not boomy, which will disappoint some and sounds awful on public transportation. Lack of bass does make music sound slightly like it lacks soul.

Soundstage: Being IEMs, soundstage is poor and narrow. Earpods have better soundstage.

Comfort: These are fairly comfortable, although the included tips may not grip very well. Sony Hybrid tips fit well. The dual balanced armature design is very small, meaning the actual hard plastic part will not get in the way.

Noise Isolation: Not the best, but it's there. Cable does transmit significant amounts of noise.

Overall: Very impressed. If you're looking for detail, clarity, and separation at an affordable price, look no further. If you're looking for bone-rattling bass, look elsewhere. The EarPods do have better soundstage and mid-bass, but are lacking in clarity, midrange, treble, isolation, and sub-bass.

Good Earphone, But need some improvement.

This earphone has a good sound, stylish, comfortable. But I think Apple should improve bass, build quality, and, more durable.

Good insulation and sound, nice looking package, and incredible support

Im not a huge audiophile but these sound great to me and block out most of the noise of a crowded subway. I also find them really comfortable and they never fall out even when skateboarding. Some will smaller ears might have trouble though.

The best part is Apple's amazing support. Many people complain about the silicone part coming lose and it's true - it happens. But just walk into any Apple store and nicely ask if they have spares and they'll give you a pack of new ones without question. Once I walked in with them all tattered looking and asked for just new caps and they just gave me a brand new pair!

Not that bad. Depend on what you looking for

I have used quite a number of ear phone before. (Including all three apple ear phones. )
Most of them in the mid range pricing,
I consider a good speaker system always better than expensive ear phone.
The small drivers never can match those big one in same price.
This ear phone is not so punchy but does offer "openness" and enough detail and not strain you too much after long time hearing. (Well. Not rock music)
The rather flat bass has the good point of not messing into mid range like the new ear pod, which will strain you (at least me) when hearing too long.
It good for vocal and light classical music than the rap, rock music.
And it needs long time to "burn" before the sound getting mature to what it designed for.
Hearing it right from the package is alright awful.
Not a great ear phone but passable for me.

    Not bad actually.

A lot of people seem to complain about the bass performance of these headphones saying its not even there. Bass is there, albeit being a tight, controlled bass sound. If you're a bass junkie, stay far away from these.
On another note, the mids and Highs are pretty darn good. The remote and mic are also very convenient.

At the end of the day, it depends on how you view spending $79 for in-ear headphones. I gave this 4 stars cause its simply overpriced for what you're getting.

    Great value

Buds do fall off these, but if you keep them in the case it isn't usually an issue. Have had no problems with bass, it's pretty decent and great for something at this price. Sound isolation is excellent - I prefer the physical isolation approach to the active electronic approach, and I ride a noisy bus every day with these and have always found them up to the task.
