Help from your peers.

User groups help members with technical questions, give honest advice on software selection and provide a friendly environment where you can learn more about your computer. Most offer training classes, one-on-one support, monthly meetings, a newsletter, member discounts, special interest groups, and of course, the camaraderie that all Mac users share.

Contributions to your community.

Many groups also donate used computers to local charities, refurbish older computers for use in schools that can't buy new, donate equipment to the elderly and help them get started on the Internet. They sponsor special events like training days, swap meets, gaming parties, computer shows, trivia contests, summer camps picnics and more.

Meet the family.

User group meetings are a great place to connect with other Mac users. They're regular people just like you — accountants, doctors, lawyers, policemen, artists, consultants, airline pilots, clerks, caterers, teachers, publishers, retired people, executives, students, musicians, firemen, writers, web designers, small business owners.
