We keep you informed

Once you’ve placed an order, you will receive an Order Acknowledgement email to confirm your order details, including shipping and delivery estimates for each item. Once your item has prepared for shipment and ships, you will receive a Shipment Notification email with carrier and tracking information.

You can also visit online Order Status to view the most up-to-date status of your order.

Some products may not be eligible for deliveries with pre-selected time windows.

Note: Scheduled Delivery with pre-selected delivery time windows may not be available during product launches.

Apple Store Pickup

If this is your first time selecting an Apple Store, our product pages will display Available for pickup: Check availability. Click this link, enter the postcode where you'd like to pick up the item, and click Search Stores to check availability.

If you’ve previously selected an Apple Store, our product pages will display your chosen location. You can click See more stores to check pickup availability at a different Apple Store.

Once you're ready to purchase, select Pick up at Checkout. If you would like to change the pickup location, select Change location. Then Continue. Items marked Available Today will usually be ready for pickup within an hour. You'll receive a notification email when your item is available to pick up. Please wait for this email before coming to the store.

If you would like someone else to pick up your items, select Someone else will pick up these items. To pick up your items in an Apple Store, you will need to bring the card used for payment, or the order number and a valid photo ID. If you have designated an alternative pickup contact, they will need to bring the order number and a valid photo ID.

Pick-up Point

A Pick-up Point is a convenient location such as a newsagent where you can collect your Apple Online Store order.

When you’ve selected the item(s) you want to order, you will be presented with the option to "Deliver to Home" or to "Deliver to a Pick-up Point". Click the Pick-up Point option, enter your postcode and select the Pick-up location most convenient to you.

If you’ve previously had an order delivered to a Pick-up Point location, this location will be pre-selected the next time you wish to place an order. You may change this should you prefer to delivery to a different location.

Once you have selected your Pick-up Point location, enter your mobile phone number under Pick-up Details to be notified when your order is ready for collection.

To collect your item(s), you will need to bring your order number plus a government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or driving licence). If you don’t have a government-issued ID you can bring any other photo ID containing your full name (e.g. a student card) along with one of the following: a utility bill, telephone bill, council rates notice, pay slip or bank statement.

If you would like someone else to collect your item(s), select "Someone else will collect these items" in Pick-up Details and provide the requested contact information. To collect your item(s), he or she will need to bring your order number and his or her own ID as described above.

If you decide after you have placed your order that you would like someone else to collect the item(s) on your behalf, there is no action needed on your part. In this instance, the person picking up your item(s) will need to bring your order number and your ID as well as his or her own ID, as described above. On arrival at the Pick-up Point, he or she will need to provide their name and signature, and allow the Pick-up Point staff to inspect all forms of ID. The Pick-up Point staff will process these details on behalf of our designated carrier but will not retain these details. Our designated carrier will only retain this information to keep a record of who has collected the item(s) and will share this information with the Apple Online Store and no other third party.

You’ll receive a notification email when your item(s) becomes available for collection. Please wait for this email before attempting to collect your item(s).

What's Next?

Once your order has been handed over to the carrier for delivery or pickup, you will receive a shipment notification email with an estimated delivery date. This is automatically calculated based on distance from the warehouse location to your address.

Delivery will take 1-7 business days after the order has shipped. All delivery lead times are estimated and cover only the metropolitan areas. Major metropolitan areas include: Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

If you have multiple items on your order, you may receive additional emails for each item.

Order Acknowledgement

The order acknowledgement email provides a summary of the items on your order. If you chose to have an item delivered, the order acknowledgement will display the delivery address and a Delivers date. You can click this to view your order status in online Order Status. For pickup items on your order, the email will display your selected Apple Store location. If you have designated someone else to pick up the item for you, the email will also display your pickup contact.

Shipment Notification

If you chose to have an item delivered, we'll send a shipment notification email when the item leaves our warehouse. This email includes the carrier name, tracking number, and a delivery date. You can click the tracking number to track your package on the carrier's website.

If you purchase an Apple Store Gift Card by email, we'll send you an email notification once we send the gift card to the recipient.

Pickup Notification

Once your items are available at the Apple Store, we'll send a pickup notification email.

Pickup Reminder

We'll send a reminder email if your item is still waiting to be picked up.

Text Notifications

We send updates by text message, so you can stay updated on your delivery or pickup order. Just add your mobile number at checkout to receive these notifications. The number of messages you'll receive will vary depending on the orders you placed.

What to Expect

Once your order leaves our warehouse or is available for pickup, we'll send you a text message. This will include your order number and a link to the tracking or pickup store information. We will also send you texts on the day of delivery or after your item has been delivered, depending on your selected delivery method, country and carrier. You may receive between 1-4 text messages per item on your order.

Changing Text Message Preferences

You can edit your mobile phone number at any time by signing in to your account and editing the delivery or pickup notification preferences for your order.

Delivery date information

Tracking your order

If you chose to pay by a method other than credit or debit card, such as financing or bank transfer, the delivery date in bag and checkout may not apply. Your actual date may be later due to the time required to process your financing application or bank transfer. When your application is approved or transfer complete, you will receive an email with the updated delivery date.

You can track the status of your order via online Order Status, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To track your order, click Account at the top of the page and select Track an Order, or visit Order Status.

On the Account page you can view the current status of your order, view the items ordered, see estimated dispatch and delivery times and track your delivery.

Shipping and delivery estimates

The 'Ships' timeframe is an estimate of when the item will prepare for shipment and ship from our warehouse. The items on your order will ship as they become available. You can ship each item to a different address, and choose up to 15 different addresses per order.

You can pre-select a different delivery time for each eligible item on your order.

  • Items that ship within "In Stock" are estimated to ship the same or following business day.

  • Items with longer estimates ship from our warehouse within the timeframe indicated (e.g. 7-10 business days).

  • Custom-configuring your Mac or personalising your iPod may take additional time to prepare for shipment, and will increase the 'Ships' timeframe.

The 'Delivers' timeframe is an estimate of when the item will be delivered to your shipping address after it ships.

All estimates are based on business days.

What time will my order be delivered?

For orders shipped by TNT to a residential or office address, deliveries are made between 8 am and 5 pm.

For orders shipped by Australia Post to a residential or office address, deliveries are made between 7 am and 5 pm.

You can also have your order delivered at a time that is convenient for you at a minimal fee. You can do so by choosing one of the express delivery options upon checkout.

You can check the estimated delivery date and carrier by visiting our online Self Service for the latest status of your order. Apple and its carriers are unable to provide an exact time of delivery. Our carriers cannot make a call prior to delivery.

Can I have my order delivered to an address other than my home?

For your convenience, you may prefer to have your order delivered to an alternative address such as your office address or your university. If you choose this option, please include the name of your business or university in the address. Please note, if you choose this option, goods may be left with reception or the Mail Room. Also, if your business has a signature waiver on file with TNT, your package will be left without requiring a signature.

Delivery to a PO Box, AFPO, PMB or Locked Bag is not permitted for security reasons.

Signature on delivery

Most of our shipments contain valuable computer equipment. If you will not be home to accept delivery of your product, consider shipping your product where someone you trust will be able to sign for your package. For your convenience, you may prefer to have your order delivered to your office address. If you choose this option, please include the name of your business in the address. Please note, if you choose this option, goods may be left with reception or the Mail Room.

Deliveries made by Australia Post may be left in a place deemed secure by the courier if no one is available to accept the package. Signature on delivery is not required for service provided by Australia Post.

Delivery to a PO Box, AFPO, PMB or Locked Bag is not permitted for security reasons.

Change your default shipping address

How much am I charged for shipping ?

Standard delivery won't cost you anything - Apple Store pays for it.

Please note that applicable shipping fees apply to Apple Print Products.

I need to change my shipping address.

If you have not yet received your shipment notification you can amend your details online via our Self Service website. If you are unable to modify your shipping details here, please contact the Apple Store Customer Service.

If your order is already in transit, please call the Apple Store Customer Service.

I will not be home on the scheduled delivery date.

As our carriers require a signature on delivery, the carrier will leave a calling card if you are not at home. Apple will also send you an email advising that our carrier was unable to deliver your order. You can then contact the carrier directly to schedule a new delivery appointment or alternatively amend your delivery address.

Deliveries made by Australia Post may be left in a place deemed secure by the courier if no one is available to accept the package. Otherwise, the courier will leave a card advising you to collect the package from the nearest post office.

What happens if my delivery goes missing or is damaged?

In case of any problems with your delivery, Apple will be in direct contact with the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly and with as little inconvenience to you as possible. We will make every effort to contact you and keep you informed of the progress of our investigation and where appropriate, deliver a replacement. If you have already received your order and find that it is damaged, please call the Apple Store Customer Service.

Shopping in Australia

The Apple Online Store Australia sells and ships items only within Australia. You may not export any products purchased at the online Apple Store. The Apple Store sells and ships products to end user customers only. Notwithstanding order confirmation Apple may cancel any order where it has reasonable grounds to believe the product is not being purchased for end use.

There are more than 20 Apple Online Stores in countries around the globe. The Apple Online Store Australia ships only within Australia. We do not ship to freight forwarders.
