Yes, you can drag and drop unrendered Motion projects directly into Shake 4.1. updates to the Motion project can quickly be refreshed within Shake.
How do I get support for Shake 4.1 version?
AppleCare provides support for install and recover for Shake 4.1. For more advanced end user support online communities exist for creative questions and help visit vfxshare.com, creativecow.net, shakeforums.com, and Fxguide.com all have online forums for Shake.
Is Shake still available on Linux?
Yes, Shake 4.1 for Linux is available through shake-sales@apple.com. Pricing has not changed for Linux.
What if I want to upgrade from a previous version of Shake?
If you currently own a retail box version of Shake 4, a CD crossgrade is available for $49. If you own an earlier retail box version of Shake, you can purchase Shake 4.1 for the modest price of $499.
What is the price if I am an Educational institution?
Shake 4.1 has a 5+ Volume License for $129 per seat. Shake 4.1 now handles Educational Licensing similar to Final Cut Studio. Licenses no longer expire on a yearly basis. Licenses are now ongoing and are licensed per version number. An Individual Student Education price is also available. Contact your local student book store for more information.
What do I need to take advantage of this crossgrade?

Will Shake 4.1 run on my new Intel Core processor Mac computer?
Yes. Shake 4.1 is a new universal release. It is native on both Intel Core based Macs as well as PowerPC based Macs.
How do I get access to the SDK (Software Developers Kit)?
The Apple developer web site includes the Shake 4.1 Software developers kit for building your own Shake plug-ins. There is an extensive 3 DVD training set available from PeachPit Press which goes through the SDK for reference.
