Final Cut Studio

Soundtrack Pro 2. Intelligent Workflows.

Powerful integration with Final Cut Studio. Seamless communication with other applications. Soundtrack Pro 2 gives editors everything they need to tackle the most complex audio post-production tasks, while maintaining the freedom to work the way they want.

Integration with Final Cut Pro

In Final Cut Pro, send a clip to the File Editor or send an entire sequence to the multitrack Timeline in Soundtrack Pro — all with a single click. Instantly return audio clips — or an entire mix — from Soundtrack Pro to Final Cut Pro. Use the Conform feature in Soundtrack Pro for automatic updating of your audio project to match editorial changes made in Final Cut Pro.

Motion

Integration with Motion

Easily round-trip files between Soundtrack Pro 2 and Motion 3. Audio behavior in Motion 3 creates animations that automatically synchronize to an audio file. Send the file over to Soundtrack Pro 2 for additional editing and mixing when the motion graphics are complete.

OMF and AAF import/export

Easily move complete multitrack projects between Soundtrack Pro 2 and other industry-standard audio applications. Import and export AAF files for round-trip convenience. Soundtrack Pro 2 also supports import of OMF files.

Flawless output

Output audio using any Mac OS X Core Audio-compatible I/O device, such as the Apogee Ensemble. This FireWire audio interface is ideal for surround projects, featuring eight channels of Apogee's legendary A/D and D/A conversion. When you finish your mix, use Soundtrack Pro's integrated export dialog to output individual tracks or the entire project via Compressor 3. You can even choose to send your mix back to Final Cut Pro 6 for multichannel output to tape with video. You can also preview surround mixes directly from Soundtrack Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DVD Studio Pro.

Soundtrack Pro Applescript Automation

AppleScript automation

Save time on repetitive audio production tasks by creating AppleScript shortcuts. Call up your scripts in Soundtrack Pro or Final Cut Pro. Or turn your script files into droplets in the Mac OS X Finder, then drag your files onto a droplet whenever you need to activate the script. Use Automator to script complex workflows that involve multiple applications and Finder actions as well as Soundtrack Pro scripts.

Professional podcasting

Soundtrack Pro Professional Podcasting

Soundtrack Pro lets you create professional podcasts, including audio-only, enhanced audio, and video podcast formats. Place chapter, artwork, and URL markers without leaving Soundtrack Pro and output your files with a single click. Compressor 3 works in the background to encode your podcast files with pristine quality. You can even create podcast chapter markers from Final Cut Pro chapter markers in a single step.
