Using the Multi-Touch Trackpad with Keynote

If your computer has a Multi-Touch trackpad, you can use gestures to manipulate objects when you’re creating a slide or to control your slideshow when you’re giving a presentation.

Use these gestures when editing objects on a slide:

To resize a selected image, text box, or shape, pinch your fingers open or closed.

To rotate a selected image, text box, or shape, place two fingers on the trackpad and turn them side to side.

To rotate an object in 45º increments, hold down the Shift key as you rotate your fingers.

Use these gestures when presenting a slideshow:

To advance to the next slide or build, swipe right to left with three fingers.

To go back to the previous slide or build, swipe left to right with three fingers.

You can also use Multi-Track trackpad gestures in Pages and Numbers to accomplish similar tasks. To learn more, choose Help > Keyboard Shortcuts.
