Your computer is in one room. Your TV is in another. So how do you get all the music, photos, and video from your Mac or PC to your widescreen TV? Easy: iTunes and Apple TV.
Over-the-air syncing.
Apple TV connects to your widescreen TV, then talks to iTunes via a superfast wireless connection. Pair Apple TV with your computer, and your videos, music, podcasts, and photos sync automatically. Through the air. Like magic.
One-time setup.
Full-time sync.
Open iTunes and Apple TV pops up in your iTunes Source List. From there, set iTunes to sync unwatched video, new purchases, or individual items. Set your preferences once and Apple TV automatically updates as your iTunes library changes. Everything travels over your wireless network to the Apple TV hard drive. So even if you turn off your computer or disconnect it from the network, you can enjoy stored video — up to 200 hours of it — from Apple TV.
Stream machine.
If you want to watch videos or view photos stored on another computer in your network, you can stream them live to your TV via Apple TV. Streamed media travels over your network to your TV without taking up space on Apple TV. That’s perfect for multicomputer households or when the computer you sync with has more in its iTunes library than will fit on Apple TV. Choose up to five additional computers from the Sources menu on Apple TV. As long as a computer is on your network, it can stream to your TV.
