Set Up MobileMe

I want to set up my...

  1. Get the latest software.

    • Make sure your computer is running the latest version of Mac OS X Leopard (v10.5.7 or later) or Tiger (v10.4.11).
    • To check for updates, choose Apple menu > Software Update.
    • Follow onscreen instructions if necessary.
  2. Sign in to MobileMe
    System Preferences.

    • From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
    • Select MobileMe (or .Mac if you are running Mac OS X Tiger v10.4.11).
    • Sign in with your MobileMe member name and password.
  3. Sync your information with
    the MobileMe cloud.

    • Click the Sync tab, select the “Synchronize with MobileMe” checkbox, and then choose Automatically for the fastest updates.
    • Select the Contacts, Calendars, and Bookmarks checkboxes.
    • If you have more than one Mac, select the other items you want to sync across your Macs.
    • Click the Sync Now button.

Now that you've completed the steps above...

In a few minutes, your email, contacts, calendars, and bookmarks on your Mac will be available at me.com and will stay in sync with any other devices you set up.

MobileMe is now also set up with the applications on your Mac:

Finder:
