I was looking more for an anti-glare screen cover like i have on my iPhone(my fault, not product's). I rated this 3 stars because I don't particularly like it. It attaches with adhesive strips, which I don't like. It darkens the screen, and makes things difficult to see, which I don't like. Dust and other stuff does get between the screen and the guard, which I don't like. I cant give this less than 3 stars, because it performs as advertised, but I can't give it 5, because I don't like it. If I was looking for a privacy filter, I'd have given it 4 stars because it darkens the screen a lot, and I do a lot of photo/video stuff and have to get super close to the screen to see well. For the price, I wouldn't recommend for a screen protector.

The privacy feature of the protector is good. its a thick film on a screen that also reduces the brightness. For me its not worth 55 bucks.

      Doesn't fit

So while that is all good, it is not usable as is. It does not fit the screen and I did verify that I purchased the correct filter for my size MacBook. I have the 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display. The filter hangs over the edges and top a bit and the little hole for the camera doesn't actually line up with where the camera is. I tried several ways of positioning it to get it to line up with the camera and not hang over the edges, but then you cannot close the computer completely. I suppose you could trim the edges to fix these issues, but I don't think this should be necessary to do considering the price of the thing. Also felt this would result in rough (and knowing me probably also crooked) edges. It does not mention anything in the instructions about maybe needing to trim it to make it fit. It does say to use 5 adhesive strips versus 2 for larger screens, but only 3 are included and it doesn't specify what is considered a larger screen. I used all three and decided to just let it hang over the edges and not line up with the camera, but it didn't really matter because it didn't stick....at all....because it doesn't fit. Since the screen is recessed a bit from the edge of the computer, if you don't trim the edges it won't actually touch the screen and so won't stick. I guess the other option is to just set it in front of the screen when I need to and not use the adhesive part, but then it really, really isn't worth the price. I wish I knew why it worked so well for others, but it certainly doesn't for me. Since I have to have a privacy filter to use the computer for work (which is the main reason I bought the computer), I hope there is another product somewhere that will provide the privacy and actually be usable.

Amazing screen protector for everyone who needs a little privacy !

I bought this product a year ago to use it on my school work and my job when editing pictures and/or editing footage on public places, and it really does the wo I bought this product a year ago to use it on my school work and my job when editing pictures and/or editing footage on public places, and it really does the work. I've had friends telling me that they can't even see my screen when they are sitting right next to me. Of course as every other product this has it's flaws. I'll explain that in a bit but first let me tell you the things I really liked about this product. When you barely buy it, a set of accessories are included on the package. Things like a cleaning cloth, a plastic folder to put it back once you don't need it (the screen protector), a set of stickers that are installed on the screen and a manual of the product. There are 3 stickers that you apply to your screen protector which make it stick to your Mac Book screen and it will stay there for as long as you please. For me it lasted a couple of weeks (I'll explain in a bit) but I started noticing that over time it started getting dirty on the other side of screen protector (as the stickers stay on the edge of the screen which means there is gonna be a tiny gap between the screen and the protector; so over time dust will collect inside of it). As I mentioned the screen protector stickers only lasted a couple of weeks with me because I needed to take out the screen protector to work on assignments for my school and job such as editing a project(film) which needs me to see clearly what's happening with the image. So I had to remove the screen protector which first I thought was not gonna be a problem since the company advertise this product as being able to take it out once you need to clean it and having the liberty of just being able to install it back. But that was not the case, the stickers once I took them out lose their sticky material and didn't work again and even 1 of them staid on my laptop screen. Which was a bit frustrating since they only give you 1 set of the stickers. So after that point I had to use the screen protector without stickers and it's really difficult since I can only use when my mac book is on a 90 degree position. If the company would give out more sets of stickers I would gladly give this product a 5 star. P.S: To the other customers it makes no sense why you would buy a product expecting it to keep your laptop crispness with a privacy filter. That is impossible the material is way too thick. Decide one thing or the other, the are plenty of other screen protectors that will do the job if clarity is what you're looking for.
