  • Overview

Featuring a new design, Magic Mouse 2 is completely rechargeable, so you’ll eliminate the use of traditional batteries. It’s lighter, has fewer moving parts thanks to its built-in battery and continuous bottom shell, and has an optimised foot design — all helping Magic Mouse 2 track easier and move with less resistance across your desk. And the Multi-Touch surface allows you to perform simple gestures such as swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents. Magic Mouse 2 is ready to go right out of the box and pairs automatically with your Mac.

MUCH smoother on the desk, more solid feel, definitely seems like an upgrade vs just a replacement. Even my wife noticed how much better it seemed to work, and she didn't even notice when I replaced our old iMac last year! Yes, it's weird to have the port on the bottom for charging. But honestly, if the battery lasts as long as they say it will between charges it's not a big deal.

I tried to use it with everything I could (desktops, laptops, tablets,...) and it always worked smoothly via Bluetooth. The outstanding design and swiping ability are just awesome. I recommend this mouse for everyone who is frustrated from a cheap plastic junk mice and always losing a small wireless USB transmitters.

      Great mouse

Mouse came charged to 95% and it was very easy to pair. I like its clicking sound better than the one old mouse had.

      Not User-Friendly; Ergonomic Nightmare

Now I can confidently say that I really, REALLY dislike it. I only gave it two stars because it works, or it would have gotten one star. It is a nightmare ergonomically. There are two issues. Because of the square design, the base of the thumb pushes the bottom of the mouse to the right, thus aligning the index finger with the right click area, instead of the left. This leads to the second issue. Because there is no button in the top middle, no ridge, no anything, the finger does not know instinctively when it had gone over that center line to the right click. I'm off to buy a non-Apple mouse!

It's a significant improvement over its predecessors. The Magic Mouse 2 is an improvement over that. Detractors love to malign the placement of the charging port because you can't use the mouse while it's charging. Those people apparently haven't used the mouse long enough to know it's really not a factor. I use this mouse nearly every day for at least an hour or more, and in the three months I have had it, I have charged it once. It was nearly fully charged out of the box, and it was just a few weeks ago that I needed to charge it again. You get plenty of notice before it dies. If you're worried about running it down while you're working, plug it in and take a 10-minute break. It will charge enough during that time to give you several more hours. When you're finished, plug it in for a few hours and it will be ready to go again for a couple more months.
