Using OS X

OS X El Capitan makes using your Mac a little simpler in big ways. You can easily do things like add a Calendar event or a new contact directly from an email — even manage email with full-screen view and swipe gestures. You can work in multiple apps at the same time using Split View. Notes and Spotlight are more useful than ever, and Safari lets you keep your favorite websites handy with Pinned Sites.

Continuity helps you do things like make and receive calls and texts on all your devices, including your Mac. Or start working on an email or a project on your Mac, and then finish it on your iPhone. You can even share files or an Internet connection between your devices.

iCloud connects your Apple devices to make sure your most important content is available on all of them. Get your photos, documents, contacts, music, and more. iCloud also makes it easy to share your photos and videos with friends and family. It even helps you find your device if you lose it, and can wirelessly back up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Mission Control & Split View

OS X has several features to help you navigate everything you want to do on your Mac. Mission Control lets you see all of your open windows at a glance and choose between them seamlessly. And with OS X El Capitan, Split View lets you automatically fill your screen with two apps you want to focus on, keeping your view clean and simple.

Family Sharing

With Family Sharing, you can coordinate purchasing and sharing your family’s iTunes Store and App Store content. After you set up Family Sharing, everyone’s purchased music, movies, books, apps, and more are available to everyone else in the family. You can also set up a single credit card for all family purchases, and approve purchases from your device.
