We have found that Apple technology solutions enable pupils to engage with their learning in ways that other technologies fail to do.   Apple computers and software's ease of use, media handling abilities and flexibility allow pupils to reach their creative potential and make the most of their learning opportunities.

We selected Apple, not only for the terrific hardware and software, but for its compatibility with the PC environment that already existed in our district.

In 1999 six classes in my district started an experimental 1 to 1 project with laptops. We were the only ones to choose Apple iBooks. At the end of our project in 2003 all the iBooks were still going strong... ask the PC notebook classes what happened to their equipment!

The kids use their iBooks at home, in class, and even on the staircase if you don't watch them! They want to communicate, and they want to do it easily and with no fuss - that's why we chose iBooks.

The iBook computers spark higher-order thinking skills, collaborative learning and self-paced learning. Attendance is improving, grades are going up, discipline problems are going down and the kids are engaged, animated and talking.

Our iBooks really are like magical books! They allow us to write, to design, to listen to music, to work with images. But the best thing is the portability, I just love being able to take a class outside into the school grounds, and still be connected to the Internet.
