This is an especially useful widget to Canadians as we tend to deal with Kilometres and Litres here, however car companies tend to use Miles per Gallon when advertising a cars fuel efficiency. This widget bridges that gap and easily allows you to calculate your cars fuel consumption in both Imperial and US gallons. As well the widget can convert US or Imperial miles per gallon back to Litres per 100 Kilometers.

Many new vehicles especially hybrids, including Honda’s Accord Hybrid and Lexus’ 400h have an onboard fuel efficiency guage, however it is measured in Litres per 100 Kilometers. If you wanted to compare the fuel efficiency of one of these vehicles to a vehicle which measures in Miles per Gallon this widget could prove to be handy.

The widget is designed for use with Apple’s Dashboard software on Mac systems running Mac OS 10.4 Tiger or later. This widget is a Universal Binary and works with both PPC and Intel Macs.
