Just like Google scrapes the web indexing everything, spambots are computers that search the net for email adresses. Protect yourself against these bots by encoding your email address every time you put it somewhere on your website.
The Email Cloaker provides two encoding methods. Both HTML and JavaScript encoding offer some protection, but the latter should make it even harder for spambots.
