About MKext Tool
A utility designed for ease of use. Mac OS X uses mkexts, which are basically bundles of kernel extensions consolidated into one file for faster loading and caching. While there are built in Darwin tools to manipulate mkexts, they are not suitable for the end user. MKext Tool fills that gap by using a fast and efficient interface to manipulate mkexts. This tool uses built in Darwin tools to pack, unpack, and view the contents of mkext files in a matter of seconds. This application is a must have for people who are developing or testing extensions.
