With over 150 original retro 3D effects for both still pictures and video, freely expand your creative horizons simply by taking a snapshot with Q@mera. Dip into 80s Video Effects seen in early music videos, or take a snapshot with one of the included vintage camera emulators.

For those of us who could never get enough PhotoBooth, or who bought a Mac before the camera came built-in, Qamera is a free instant camera that creates lossless PNG images with alpha channel transparency.

Easily build and bookmark custom designs by dragging PhotoBooth or DotMatrix snapshots into the background or stencil mask. Add a paid license and use all 150+ plus effects in your video chats on Yahoo Messenger, Skype and Webcam chats (Stickam, Mogulus etc.) 100% Leopard and Tiger compatible. Under Leopard, use Photo Booth to record movies of Q@mera output.

Discover a combination you like? A quick Command+B bookmarks the complete set of settings which you can use later in live performance, or email the codes to your friends so that they can re-use the creativity in their own photography.

Add a paid license, and Q@mera can rebroadcast as a virtual camera input, adding dazzling motion graphics effects to your Yahoo!Messenger, Stickam or Skype chats. Redirect Qamera output into DotMatrix or CamCamX for new creative frontiers.

Q@mera output can also be piped via our custom Core Image “generator” plug-in into any original Quartz Composer composition. Also works with Core Image enabled image apps like Pixelmator. If you’re a pro VJ or merely like to experiment with Quartz Composer, Q@mera allows you to pipe the output from one Quartz Composer composition into another one. You can also plan a performance by building a list of bookmarks which can be switched in real time. Perfect for the live VJ who wants to expand on their existing hardware or software VJ setup. Sample QC patches are included as a starting point.
