About Quake 4
Immediately following a lone Marine’s successful mission to bring down the Strogg defenses and defeat their leader, the Makron (story and events from QUAKE II), the Strogg are quickly regrouping and constructing a new and more powerful Makron.

You are Matthew Kane, a member of the elite Rhino Squad. You must join the invasion of the Strogg homeworld, where humanity’s only hope lies in your ability to access the highly-fortified structure containing the Nexus Core. There, you can disrupt all Strogg communications and give the marines the upper hand.

What’s New in this Version
- This update affects pure server and protocol consistency, and adds a number of other multiplayer fixes including support for QUAKE 4 TV. The read me has a complete listing of bug fixes as well as directions on how to operate QUAKE 4 TV. This update will be necessary for Mac users attempting to play multiplayer against PC users with the PC 1.4.2 patch.
