About JAME
A Java real-time, multi-threaded fractal graphics platform which supports images and animations. The core of JAME is the graphics engine which supports layers, filters, effects and alpha composition. JAME creates Mandelbrot and Julia fractals and supports zoom, rotation and colours shifting. JAME has a lot of parameters, which can be combined in many ways to create very different fractals. Creating images and animations is very easy, just as taking photos or recording movies with a camera. Photos and movies are stored as clips in a database to be rendered in high resolution and exported in JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, AVI or Quicktime formats. JAME supports also networked computation and JavaScript scripting to create animations programmatically. JAME accepts OSGi plug-ins which provide fractals, formulas, filters, effects and more. JAME is free software and is released under the terms of GPL3 license.
