Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all of the teams who participated in the 2007 Insomnia Film Festival.  

On Saturday, October 13 at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern time), we posted a top-secret list of elements — special props, dialogue, settings — you get the idea. Teams chose any three to include in their movie. Then all they had to do was write, cast, shoot, edit, score, and upload their three-minute masterpiece within 24 hours. No problem, right? 

Once the films were in, friends, family, and adoring fans were able to watch them online and rate their favorites. The 25 entries with the highest rating were screened by industry professionals, including Barry Sonnenfeld, James Mangold, and Nora Ephron.

Each member of the two winning teams received a MacBook Pro, Final Cut Studio 2, Logic Studio, and Shake so they could get started on their first sequel. How’s that for a Hollywood ending?
