Apple offers 15 different Professional Development workshops. They’re held at your school or district site and run from one to eight days. These hands-on workshops can be tailored to your group’s specific needs and are designed to make sure you’re using your Apple products most effectively. And all Apple Professional Development workshops qualify toward your Continuing Education Units.

All Apple Professional Development facilitators are educators themselves. That gives them a unique view: They know what’s important in the education environment, so they can ensure that you learn about your Apple products and how they can best serve you.

2. Contact an Apple Representative.

3. Plan your sessions.
An Apple Professional Development facilitator will contact your site representative to plan your workshops and answer any questions.

Mobile Devices
Discover how iPad can improve student learning both in the classroom and at home. Content focuses on iPad and iPod touch features, including built-in and third-party apps. Additional modules cover features for those with special needs. Participants can also choose to explore educational resources on iTunes U, use iLife tools to create mobile content, and use iWork for iPad apps to create spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.
Podcasting
This workshop focuses on podcasting fundamentals — planning, creating, and managing. Throughout the session, participants discuss the role of podcasting in education, how to use iPod devices as both teaching and learning tools, and how to engage students with diverse learning styles.
Special Education
Learn how to customize instruction and learning for all students regardless of ability. This workshop offers hands-on exploration of the built-in Mac, iPad, and iPod touch accessibility features designed to help students with hearing, vision, physical, and motor-skill disabilities.
