PCard FAQ

What is PCard?

PCard (also know as a Procurement or Purchasing Card) is a credit card that is administered by a purchasing department for business-related purchases. The purchasing department designates the PCard holders, allowing them to place orders without requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, or approvals. The PCard is the property of the institution.

How do I place an order using a PCard?

Your institution’s Custom Store has been enabled with PCard purchasing. All you need is an Apple ID to sign in and place your order. You can use an existing Apple ID to sign in. If you don’t have an existing Apple ID, one can be created when you’re prompted by the store to enter an Apple ID.

Can I use my Apple Authorized Purchaser ID to place a PCard order on this Custom Store?

If you’re an Apple Authorized Purchaser, you must create and submit your order on your Authorized Purchaser store. For more information, contact your Purchasing Department.

Can I place a single order using more than one PCard?

Single orders cannot be split among PCards. One PCard can be used per order.

What if I place my order and later realize that my order was over my PCard limit?

Within 24 hours of placing your order, an Apple Sales Support Representative will contact you to change your order so you are within your PCard limit. You may also call Apple Sales Support at 800-800-2775.

Are there other charges that may be added to my order and apply toward my PCard limit?

If applicable, sales tax and fees may be added to your order once it’s processed. These additional charges will apply to the PCard limit.

Will institutions be informed when their PCard holders place an order?

Yes. Apple will mail a zero-dollar invoice to the respective institution. The designated credit card company will also mail a statement to the institution.

What type of PCard may I use on this Custom Store?

Apple accepts American Express, MasterCard, and Visa PCards.
