PowerMac With the fastest and most affordable Power Mac G4 line ever.

Faster.
Featuring single and dual PowerPC G4 processors running at up to 1.42 GHz, the new systems blaze through data thanks not only to Apple’s new Xserve-based architecture but also to up to 2MB of Double Data Rate (DDR) Level 3 cache and 333MHz DDR memory.

More Expansive.
Would you like two of our new 4x-speed SuperDrives (DVD-R/CD-RW) installed in your Power Mac G4? How about four internal hard drives providing up to a staggering 720 GB of storage? And could you make use of up to 2GB of DDR SDRAM? Massive expandability makes for a digital media powerhouse.

Groundbreaking.
New, innovative technology like FireWire 800 lets you transfer data at up to 800Mbps, ideal for moving large audio and video files. And with options like built-in Bluetooth and AirPort Extreme, you can network wirelessly at top speeds.

More Affordable.
Starting at just $1499, the new systems offer an amazing value proposition—especially when coupled with one (or two) of Apple’s new flat-panel displays.

20" Display Meet the newest member of the Apple all-digital flat-panel display family: the stunning 20-inch Apple Cinema Display.

Priced at just $1299, the high-resolution wide-format display offers considerable screen real estate—1680-by-1050-pixel resolution.

That’s enough space to display two full pages of text or a mega-column Excel spreadsheet, to accommodate an 11-inch-by-17-inch spread in Adobe InDesign, or to work on a complex image in Adobe Photoshop—with room to spare for a full complement of your favorite palettes.

The ultimate display for creative and technical professionals, the 20-inch (diagonal) Cinema Display offers a broad color gamut and such consistent color from edge to edge that it’s earned SWOP certification. Visit our website to get the big picture on our new display.

Displays What would you expect to pay for a stunning, all-digital flat-panel display with exacting color accuracy?

Yes, Mac OS X Mail can help you deliver a staggering blow to spammers. Simply pull down the Mail menu, choose Junk Mail, and select Automatic. The next time you receive email, Mail will move suspect email into a Junk folder.

With that done, you’re ready to deliver a real knockout punch to spammers by taking advantage of yet another potent spam-fighting weapon:

1.   Click on the Junk folder.
2.   Type Command-a to select all of the email in the Junk folder.
3.   Choose “Bounce to Sender” from the Message menu.

Mail will return the selected messages to the senders marked “User unknown,” making them think your email address invalid, encouraging them to drop you from their lists, and, thus, eliminating spam at its source.

.mac It’s a sad fact of Internet life.

Internet service providers (ISPs) have been consolidating—or simply going out of business—and, as a result, we’ve all had to change email addresses more frequently than we’d like. And that means notifying everyone in our Address Book. After all, we want friends to be able to contact us. And we want to keep receiving the electronic publications we’ve subscribed to.

But there is a way to avoid such hassles: just sign yourself up for an email address that you don’t have to change.

When you become a member of the .Mac community, you’ll receive a mac.com email address that remains the same even if your ISP changes.

Like to see how accommodating Address Book can be?

Let’s say you have someone’s address stored in Address Book but don’t know how to drive to their location. Not to worry—Address Book (and an Internet connection) can get you directions.

Just mouse over “home” or “work” (whichever address you need directions for), hold down the mouse button, and choose Map Of. Address Book will launch Safari (or another browser) if not already running, connect with mapquest.com (fast, if you’re using Safari), and present you with a map and complete directions. Cool, huh?

There are still more ways you can take advantage of Address Book. Would you like to know how easy it is to print a list of all your Address Book contacts? Here’s a new Knowledge Base article that explains how.
