Bill Cosby and Quincy Jones

Lost, but not forgotten, the 1969 original jam session recordings from Quincy Jones and Bill Cosby were rediscovered just years ago. Preview a couple of funky jazz jams from the collection.

The ultra-cool “The Original Jam Sessions 1969 — EP,” as well as more music from Quincy Jones and Bill Cosby, is available at the iTunes Music Store.
Anita Baker

Grammy Award-winning vocal diva Anita Baker’s elegant jazz and gospel-inflected R&B artistry made her one of the most popular singers of her time. “A Night of Rapture Live,” the enhanced CD, captures the onstage magic from her 1986 tour with nine songs and three videos, including “Sweet Love” and “You Bring Me Joy.”

Los Amigos Invisibles

Karrin Allyson

In “Wild for You,” Karrin Allyson pays tribute to and puts a jazz spin on some favorite pop songs that she heard while growing up. Listen to four songs from her 13-track album, including Joni Mitchell’s “All I Want” and Elton John’s “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word.”

Julie Roberts

Julie Roberts’ raw, honest, emotion-soaked, sensuous self-titled debut CD is a stark contrast to the pop-country music out now. Her music is a blend of country and blues that both embraces country’s heritage and reveals a fresh sound.

The “Break Down Here” video tells the story of a woman leaving her man and hoping she doesn’t break down, literally or emotionally.

The Stands just released their double-A-sided single, “Outside Your Door/When This River Rolls Over You,” from their timeless album “All Years Leaving.” Sample the rock romanticism of this Liverpool band in the video for “Outside Your Door.”

Danish royal wedding banquet

Did your invitation to the Danish royal wedding get lost in the mail? It’s a good thing panoramic photographer Hans Nyberg captured the May 14 extravaganza with amazing, high-quality full-screen QuickTime VRs.

With only 30-60 seconds to shoot each panorama, Nyberg successfully documented significant events on the wedding day: the pre-wedding performance at the exquisite Royal Theatre, the ceremony at Copenhagen’s Church of Our Lady, the wedding banquet at Fredenborg Palace and the traditional wedding waltz right before midnight in Dome Hall.

Black Hawk Down In October 1993, two U.S. Black Hawk helicopters were shot down in Somalia during the capture of two lieutenants serving under General Aidid, whose Habr Gedir militia was terrorizing the country. Several hundred Somalis and 18 U.S. soldiers died during the 17 hours of street fighting that followed.

In “Delta Force: Black Hawk Down” video game, your mission begins months earlier, as U.S. forces arrive in Somalia to help the UN deliver desperately-needed supplies. After it’s confirmed that Aidid’s militia is attacking supply lines, Task Force Rangers enter the scene and begin the search for Aidid and his top men.

The Chronicles of Riddick “Pitch Black” escaped murderer Richard B. Riddick (Vin Diesel) has spent the last five years constantly on the move through forgotten worlds on the outskirts of the galaxy, avoiding bounty hunters.

When he visits Helion, home of a progressive multi-cultural society invaded by Lord Marshal (Colm Feore) — who targets humans for subjugation with his army of warriors, the Necromongers — Riddick is exiled to a subterranean prison with Kyra (Alexa Davalos), a former associate.

Trying to escape with Kyra, anti-hero Riddick finds himself at the Necromonger command ship in an apocalyptic battle with Lord Marshal. The fate of all beings lies in their hands.

The Chronicles of Riddick” opens in theaters today.
Garfield It’s good to be a fat cat, especially when you’re Garfield (Bill Murray), America’s favorite feline and the world’s laziest cat.

Garfield’s live action/CGI motion-picture debut features his owner, Jon Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer), adopting dimwitted doggie Odie and messing up Garfield’s daily existence. The competition is on between Odie and Garfield for the affection and attention of Jon and veterinarian Dr. Liz Wilson (Jennifer Love Hewitt). But when Odie is kidnapped by a mean dog trainer, Garfield springs to action to save him.
