Crystal Method

“London,” the film, follows an outrageous series of adventures centered around a trendy loft party. XTC

XTC, now comprising the songwriting core duo of Andy Partridge and Colin Moulding (both founding members of XTC back in 1975), is set to release its first boxed set on Idea Records.

Don’t miss the sizzling performances from the Velvet Underground’s 1993 European reunion tour. “Velvet Redux: Live MCMXCIII,” the first-ever DVD from the seminal band, captures the original lineup on extended versions of VU classics like “Femme Fatale,” “Pale Blue Eyes” and “Heroin,” and on more obscure fare like “Hey Mr. Rain” and “I’m Sticking With You.”

iTunes adds hit shows from MTV Networks
Yesterday, MTV Networks and Apple added 14 new hit television shows from MTV, MTV2, COMEDY CENTRAL, Nickelodeon and the N for purchase and download on the iTunes Music Store. The new content features top-rated favorites such as “Punk’d,” “South Park,” “Dora the Explorer,” “SpongeBob SquarePants” and “Laguna Beach.”

Nickelodeon’s “Dora” is the first preschool program available on iTunes, while COMEDY CENTRAL’s “Stand-Up” is iTunes’ first stand-up comedy program, and MTV’s “Laguna Beach” and “Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Gauntlet 2” are the first reality-based titles available on iTunes.

With these 14 new shows from MTV Networks, iTunes now offers more than 40 TV shows at $1.99 per episode for viewing on your computer or the new iPod. You can browse, preview and download more than 3,000 music videos, select hit television shows and Disney and Pixar short films at the iTunes Music Store. Your favorites are always just a click away.

QuickTime showcase
Superman It’s time to revisit Superman classics “Adventures of Superman: the Complete Second Season” and “Lois & Clark — the New Adventures of Superman: the Complete Second Season.”

“Adventures of Superman: The Complete Second Season,” the original smash hit from the 1950s, was the first TV series featuring the beloved DC Comics superhero (played by George Reeves), helping mold the iconic character that still exists today. The five-disc collector’s set features all 26 episodes in addition to commentaries and a never-before-seen documentary on the return of Noel Neill as Lois Lane.

Starring Dean Cain as the man of steel and Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane, the six-disc “Lois & Clark — the New Adventures of Superman” set features all 22 episodes of season two, plus bonus features such as interviews with the cast and crew, featurettes and “Secrets of Season Two.”

CatDV 4.0 Peter Cohen reports for MacCentral, “Square Box Systems Ltd. just released CatDV 4.0, a major new version of its video logging and media database application for Mac OS X v10.2 or later and various flavors of Windows.” The new version of this QuickTime-based media database software features support for MPEG-4 and H.264 when used with QuickTime 7.
