Hot News Headlines
“In our tests,” Walter S. Mossberg and Katherine Boehret report for the Wall Street Journal, “Apple TV “worked great, and we can easily recommend it for people who are yearning for a simple way to show on their big TVs all the stuff trapped on their computers.”

“Macs Save Money,” says Leander Kahney (Wired.com). And as he points out, he’s not the only one coming to this conclusion. “In fact, there seems to be a widespread re-evaluation of Apple going on, a cultural shift that’s changing the way people think about the company. It’s been building for a while but it has reached a tipping point in the last couple of months.”

Reviewing the Apple TV for PC World, Edward N. Albro writes, “It’s the first media streaming device I could imagine recommending to a non-geek.”

Create your own “Survivalism” remix

On April 17, Nine Inch Nails will release its eagerly awaited new studio album, “Year Zero.” You can already pre-order the album on iTunes for $9.99, and when you do, “Survivalism,” one of the tracks on the album, will download immediately.*

But that’s not where the story ends.

NIN As he’s done with several earlier singles, Trent Reznor has posted a multi-track version of “Survivalism” on the Nine Inch Nails website in GarageBand format. Download it, and you can see how he built the song and create you own signature remix of “Survivalism” using GarageBand, the popular music creation application that’s part of iLife. Enjoy.

* Please note that while you’ll be billed for the track, the $.99 will be deducted from the total cost of the album when you download it on or after April 17.
