How does an Apple Gift Card compare to an iTunes Music Store Gift Card?

You can apply an Apple Gift Card toward the purchase of products in retail Apple Stores, from the online Apple Store, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. The iTunes Music Store Gift Card may be applied only toward the purchase of music on the iTunes Music Store online. The Apple Gift Card cannot be used toward the purchase of music on the iTunes Music Store.

Using an Apple Gift Card

Where can I redeem my Apple Gift Card?

You can redeem an Apple Gift Card in retail Apple Stores, from the online Apple Store, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Apple Gift Cards can be used only in the United States.

What products can I purchase using an Apple Gift Card?

You can purchase just about anything sold by Apple (except another Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Certificate or purchases at the iTunes Music Store), including products from both Apple and third-party makers.

How do I use the Apple Gift Card to purchase products?

In retail stores, simply present the card to the cashier at time of payment. For online or purchases through 1-800-MY-APPLE, enter or provide the 16-digit card number and 8-digit PIN (to be scratched off). Please keep the card in your possession until the order has been processed and delivered.

How do I use the Apple Gift Card to purchase products?

Call 1-888-320-3301 and follow the instructions. You can also see your balance by visiting the account area of the online Apple Store online.

Does the Apple Gift Card expire?

Apple does not place an expiration date on Apple Gift Cards. However, there may be rules defined by the laws of your state that require Apple to terminate your right to use your Apple Gift Card if you have not used it within a specified number of years. Under those laws, Apple is required to attempt to contact you before terminating your right to use your card.

Can I use the Apple Gift Card to purchase an iTunes Music Store Gift Card? What about an iTunes Music Store electronic gift certificate?

Apple Gift Cards can be used to purchase an iTunes Music Store Gift Card. However, Apple Gift Cards can't be used to purchase iTunes Music Store electronic gift certificates.

Can I merge multiple Apple Gift Cards into a single Apple Gift Card?

Yes, you can do this at a retail Apple Store.

Can I use the old retail-only Apple Store Gift Card on the online Apple Store or through 1-800 MY-APPLE?

The old retail-only gift cards can be redeemed only at retail Apple Stores. If you would like to make a purchase online or by phone using your Gift Card, bring your retail-only Apple Store Gift Card to a retail store to have it converted to the Apple Gift Card.

Can I use multiple gift cards when making a purchase?

Yes. You can use up to six cards when making a purchase at a retail Apple Store and up to four cards at the online Apple Store.

Can I use an Apple Gift Card and another form of payment in the same transaction?

Yes, you can use up to four Apple Gift Cards in conjunction with a credit card for the same transaction.

What should I do with my card after making a purchase online?

You should keep your gift cards until all products have been delivered.

How are products that were purchased with an Apple Gift Card refunded?

Products purchased with an Apple Gift Card may be returned within Apple's Sales and Refunds Policy guidelines.

Can the Apple Gift Card be redeemed for cash?

No, except where required by the law of the state in which you reside.

How do I report a lost or stolen or damaged Apple Gift Card? Can a lost or stolen or damaged Apple Gift Card be replaced?

To report a lost or stolen gift card, please contact Apple at any retail store location or by telephone at 1-800-MY-APPLE. Replacement cards will be issued after Apple verifies that the lost or stolen card has not been redeemed and you present your original purchase receipt. Apple is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards.

Purchase an Apple Gift Card at any retail Apple Store, from the online Apple Store, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE in the United States.

What denominations are available? What are the maximum and minimum amounts available?

You can purchase cards online for any amount between $25 and $2500. There is no minimum or maximum dollar amount when you purchase a card at a retail Apple Store or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE.

How many cards can I purchase?

Online, you can purchase up to 10 cards per order. At retail or through 1-800-MY-APPLE, there is no limit.

How do I purchase the Apple Gift Card in bulk? Are bulk discounts available?

Please call 1-800-MY-APPLE to place a bulk order. No discounts are available for bulk orders.

Can I purchase an Apple Gift Card with another Apple Gift Card?

No, Apple Gift Cards cannot be used as payment for the purchase of other Apple Gift Cards.

Can I purchase an Apple Gift Card and have it shipped outside of the United States?

No. Apple Gift Cards can only be applied to qualified purchases directly from Apple at a retail Apple Store, from the online Apple Store or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE in the United States; it may not be redeemed outside of the United States.

Can I add more value to an Apple Gift Card?

Yes. You can continue to add to your Apple Gift Card in any denomination as many times as you like by visiting a retail Apple Store.

When I purchase an Apple Gift Card online or through 1-800-MY-APPLE, how long will it take to receive it in the mail? What is the shipping cost?

Gift Cards ship separately from the rest of an order — free of charge — and arrive within 4-7 business days. Expedited shipping options and corresponding costs are offered at the time of purchase.

How can I track the status of my Apple Gift Card purchase from the online store or through 1-800-MY-APPLE?

Please visit the Order Status area of the online Apple Store or call 1-800-MY-Apple to track the status of your Apple Gift Card order. You will be asked to provide your order number and shipping address zip code or you can review your Order History.

How will my gift be wrapped when arriving at the recipient?

The Gift Card will be included in a gift carrier and envelope.

Can I include a message with the Apple Gift Card?

Yes, you will have the option of including a message with the Apple Gift Card at the time of purchase.

Does Apple charge a processing fee in addition to the value I have selected for the Gift Card?

No, Apple charges no processing fees.

Can I have a special logo or other artwork on my Gift Card?

No, Apple does not offer that service.

When is my Apple Gift Card activated?

Your card is activated when you receive it.
