PowerBeats ARE NOT Good For Workouts

If you sweat a lot during workouts, the sweat gets into the inline microphone/controller, and it stops working. Apple went as far as to tell a few people 'they sweat too much', and that Powerbeats are not 'waterproof'. I've exchanged my Powerbeats3 four times at Best Buy. I thought I was getting defective headphones - until I did some research and found feedback from other people that were having the same issues. Not only does the controller stop working, the tracks skip on their own, the music pauses on its own - and randomly starts playing again, the volume increases/decreases on its own. It's a nightmare of an experience when you're trying to workout. I love Beats products (I own wireless Studios, wireless Solos, and two Pills), but they need to do more R&D on the Powerbeats3. They need to make the inline controller/microphone truly water resistant to withstand all levels of sweating. When/If they can get it right, I'll definitely purchase them again. I love the fit, feel & sound.

Turning them on, the At nearly £170, these are the most expensive in-ear earphones Beats make. They don’t feel like £170 worth of kit. They feel a bit cheap. Turning them on, they instantly paired with my iPhone 7 and Apple Watch. Perfect. All the music i tested them on was via Apple Music with the EQ off. Most of the time, they deliver a very clean sound with rich bass without distortion. Any tinny or rough edged tracks seemed to be down to poor track quality on Apple Music, Switching the earphones for another pair didn't help so it was the individual track rather than the kit. After a while, the fitting on my ear started to ache a little. Designing an ear piece for every ear is going to be impossible and I found myself having to move them around a little to stop the ache. The remote is fine - on the opposite side to Apples ear buds so you’ll have to get used to that if use an ear bud user. The remote function fails a lot. You’re supposed to hold down for Siri to kick in but more than 50% of the time it fails. This seems to be an issue with iOS10, rather than the earphones. Turning your phone on and off resolves the issue - turning the earphones on and off does not. Drop-outs - I experienced no drop outs playing music via iPhone. The same cannot be said for Apple Watch. I use Series 2 and during my workouts, sound would dropped regularly for a few seconds before kicking back in. Odd. Pros - easy set-up on iPhone and Apple Watch Good clean sound Cons: Expensive Slightly uncomfortable Software a bit buggy at the moment

I bought a pair on launch day and was very happy to get them. I use them 4 times a week for an hour while I run on a treadmill. First pair made it about 2 1/2 weeks and then shorted out and were dead in the water. Apple took them back and gave me brand new pair at the store. That second pair lasted 3 weeks and then crapped out during my workout. Apple issued me another pair and told me "I shouldn't make a habit of trying to exchange these at the store" I cared for this third pair as best I could. I dried them off every time I used them made sure never to overcharge them and took great care of them overall. Then 1/2 way through my workout boom, stop working with no warning. Apple store gives me a 4th pair after a spirited conversation with the store manager. Well they made it through one week and now they have all but stopped working. The latest quirk that this pair is showing is the volume slowly fades from desired level to zero and can not be turned back up. These things are expensive garbage and I will not be getting a 5th pair. American Express has issued me a refund through their consumer protection clause and I am moving on to something else entirely. Just a shame these things cant work for more than a few weeks because when they work they seem to be an ideal set of workout headphones but they never work for long.

The quality is lacking especially for the price.

In order to block out sound the volume must be maxed. They also fit poorly constantly slipping out of my ears.

Battery and Charging Issues Need to be FIXED!

While i love the color options, sound and the theory that the battery last 12 hrs, I have not seen that with the two I have experienced. I received one pair and used it 3 times, 3 one hours runs, the battery died so I went to charge them and only got a flashing red light. I contacted service and they promptly said nothing could be done but sent out a new pair that same day. When I received the new pair a week later the same thing happened, 3 hours use and went to charge them but after about an hour the red light went out and now they won't even turn on or charge now. If they can fix this battery and charging issue I think they would be great quality but until then, they are not that great as you will spend more time sending them back and forth than actually getting use out of them!

Like seriously I charged them for 6 hours they were at 100 % turned them off, 5 hours later I turn them on and there down to 50% without being used. Like comon Apple give your head a shake, guess I'll be returning these as well and moving on to another company.
