Iphone 6s In ear headphones - Worst product ever

    • Written by from Las Vegas

I have recently bought a iPhone 6s, phone is just awesome but when it comes to apple ear phones, they are the worst creation ever made.
They just don't fit into your ear, no matter how large or small your ear is. They keep falling down all the time, i have tried to fit these headphones into three of many family member's ear's and all had the same problem.
Audio quality is way worst. No bass and lot of noise when used outdoors, these two are at the top list, there many more issues.
No soft case for the ear buds.
I some how feel call quality gets reduced while answering calls using these ear phones.

Now, what am i achieving at the end of this review, NOTHING. People like me would just go ahead and buy better ear phones, because after spending good amount on the phone, you just don't want some bad ear phones to ruin that experience.

One last point, if you are a music lover and listen to at least 3 to 4 hours in a day using ear phones. Just throw these ear phones in the trash as soon as u unbox your Iphone6S.

Overpriced but exactly what I'm looking for

    • Written by from N RANDALL

I walk everywhere and when I'm walking I like to listen to my music. The EarPods that came with my iPhone produce the sound quality that I like when I'm listening to my music. However, when it is windy out, they do not stay in my ears. Since I already like the sound quality of Apple EarPods I figure the sound quality will be the same with these in ear earphones. They are. They stay in my ear even when it is windy out and just like the EarPods they come with they're own carrying case store them when not in use. They are exactly what I'm looking for but the price should be lower in my opinion.

    Not meeting Apple standards

    • Written by from Thane

The headphones are just average sounding in ears. No bass at all, Apple has a world class standard for music, don't know what went wrong here, me being a die hard APPLE Fan had a disappointment from this product.
Apple please help in replacing them with a better in ear head phones like rest of the products best in class.

    Comfortable but have had issues

    • Written by from LONG GROVE

I figured I would get the nicer headphones because the basic ones are uncomfortable at times. When I first used these I thought they were comfortable and you get 3 different sizes of the rubber earbuds. The sounds quality isn't too bad either. However, I've only had these about 2 months and the one earbud either doesn't work of the sound is really soft. I guess I'll stick with the basic apple headphones since that pair lasted so much longer.

    Terrible fit - Unusable

    • Written by from Houston

I bought these headphones with high hopes. Overall I have had great expereinces with virtually every Apple product I have purchased. However no matter which size in-ear adapter I use they will not work and fall out of my ears.

I think I made the word a better place by simply throwing them in the trash.

    Greatly under-appreciated In Ear Monitors

    • Written by from Downers Grove

I'm appalled for the misunderstanding and low score reviews of most people here with respect to these under-appreciated earphones. I bought them a week ago and gave them some burn-in, I have to say these are simply the best pair of headphones I've ever owned for the price. Some reviewers report "tin sound" or "bad bass response" and these are simply because it is necessary to test and choose the proper size of silicone tips in order to make a proper seal. Feel free to experiment with the tip sizes, until you find a pair that suits your ears the best. When you do this, the dual drivers deliver rich bass with clear vocals and treble. I have to advise these provide clean, unadulterated sound unlike the earphones most people are used to which heavily colorize, distort and muddy the sound. Even the microphone is so well constructed, Siri won't miss a sentence even with strong winds and when talking to people they say they hear me very clearly like I was there. You won't find dual-driver earphones with such quality for less than $250-400 out there, these include remote control so don't balk at the price, they are a great investment!

Lost the silicon bud and it seems no replacement is available

    • Written by from Northwood

After a few months of use one silicon bud went missing. Checked Q&A here and it seems you can not replace them. Yes I know it comes with replacement but they are not really replacements, they are different sizes and the other sizes just do not work for me: the bud keeps falling off.

The sound did not seem good to me. I even had problems understanding people in a call. I like more the sounds of the original headphones.

There is a "noise reduction effect". I was not aware of this but it works great. Enough to leave my noise reduction big headphones behind and listen to podcast in public transport.

new ear buds hurt my ears

    • Written by from Holyoke

These ear buds came with my new iPod. I think they are terrible. They hurt my ears. Basically using an older non-apple pair. I think Apple missed the boat with these

    These are the worst

    • Written by from san francisco

These are the most frustrating pair of headphones I've owned, I literally just replaced them with $8 Panasonic headphones that I am loving. The apple headphones would constantly fall out of my ears, the rubber ear pieces would constantly fall off, and the sound is much worse than the Panasonics. The mic and volume piece is handy and works as intended.

Volume control and mic not working.

    • Written by from Lansing

Sound quality is good. However, my mic and volume control does not work, which to me gives it its distinction. Even after updating to IOS 9, they stopped working again after a few days.

    Weak Bass

    • Written by from Freehold

The Apple EarPods have much better bass response than these unfortunatly. Not worth $79 and I am sure they will be replaced by the Beats line soon.

Bought this item and the quality is way off.

    • Written by from Abu Dhabi

Bought this item and the quality is way off. Sound volume is low at max, bass is dead and feels like a 5USD headphones in terms of quality. I think Apple should withdraw this unit as it seems to be defective from the manufacturer. The Apple earpods that comes with the iphone is way better than this.

Quality Glaringly Worse than those produced several years prior

    • Written by from Fort Lee

When Apple first sold these earbuds, I bought them after a friend recommended them to me. At the time I was so satisfied to discover that Apple had indeed packaged premium sound for under $100. I recently purchased them again after losing a pair of Standard Beats earbuds, and I was utterly shocked with their thin sound production. No exaggeration, these are probably no better than $20 earbuds. I guess after Apple spent all of that money purchasing Beats and developing its marketing campaign they had to cut costs elsewhere. Actually, shame on me for assuming that it would be a good idea to purchase these when Beats is the new face of their audio campaign.

"Won't stay in Ear" They are good headphones with a 1 year warranty

    • Written by from West Hollywood

I just want to address these people who say it won't stay in their ear and then post one star. People have a misconception of how silicon ear plugs are suppose to stay in the ear. if they are falling out its because they are to big or to small. I have two different size ear holes so I have to to wear two different sizes. Its like women who wear the wrong bra size for 20 years and then realize when someone has to people it out. Any silicon based headphone you have to make sure is snug or you will not get the full sound.

Terrible - won't stay in, plugged-up and broken

    • Written by from Seattle

These headphones are terrible. The multi-sized silicone covers are either too big (won't go in your ear) or too small (doesn't form a seal and comes out). Worse, once the cover came of IN MY EAR and a co-worker had to take it out with a pair of pliers. That was 3 years ago. I can't believe Apple still carries them. I don't have a huge amount of ear wax, but within a month or two, the left one became plugged. I was able to clean it out a few times, but now it has just stopped working due to the damage.

Simply the best in-ear headphones for under $100

    • Written by from Lambertville

I have been using these in-ear headphones since 2008. My first pair last 4 years, and I have bought a handful since that time. I believe the sound quality, richness, and detail are amazing. I listen to many different genres of music, from rock, to jazz, to hip hop, to classical, they all sound clean and rich. I also uses these to workout and exercise and they have held-up very well. Additionally they are covered under Apple's 12 month warranty, so if anything goes wrong, bring them back into Apple for an exchange for a new pair.

These used to be great and highly recommended headphones...

    • Written by from Saint Louis

These used to be great and highly recommended headphones, however with the latest model, I've had the left earbud stop working within a month of purchasing them.

I've owned 3 pairs of these headphones since they first came out over 10 years ago... the first two pair lasted over 5 years and I had no problems with them whatsoever. But, again, there seems to be something wrong with the left ear bud in this latest model.

I guess it's time to find a new "go to" pair of headphones :(

Sad day. I loved these headphones when they lasted longer than a month.

Perfromance is Great Design Sub Par

    • Written by from Annapolis

I currently have 2 pairs of these headphones and have enjoyed the sound quality. However, the silicone tips are poorly designed as over time they have ripped or fallen off while removing from pockets. Without the right silicone tip these will not stay in your Ear and are worthless! The worst part is Apple DOESN'T make it easy to purchase replacement Silicone ear-tips. I actually called apple support and they tried selling me a part that was "apparently" the silicone tip for $39 when I paid $80 !! It's shouldn't be this hard to sell these to customers and I'm sure i'm not the only customer who feels this way. It seems Apple doesn't focus as much attention to these type of accessories as they do their main line products.I wouldn't buy these again!
