      Useless

I have had 4 of these in the past month and have had the same problem with each. They work fine until i suspect a wire comes loose in the top of the cable (wher I have had 4 of these in the past month and have had the same problem with each. They work fine until i suspect a wire comes loose in the top of the cable (where it enters the device), then it will only work when it is pulled or pushed into certain directions, until eventually it will not work at all. Im sick of wasting money on these cablels. A new cable must be brought out.

I've bought THREE Apple cables in the past 4 months! I'm absolutely disgusted with the quality of them. They just seemed to break! I'm always, always very careful with things I buy and these cables are just expensive and nasty. I'm just utterly disgusted with Apple. Horrible quality and far too expensive! Get it fixed!!!!

      Extremely Poor Quality

I don't know what they make the cables from now, but all of the ones I own have started to disintegrate after a few weeks. I have several old iPod cables that s I don't know what they make the cables from now, but all of the ones I own have started to disintegrate after a few weeks. I have several old iPod cables that still work perfectly, but Apple have now changed the material to one that doesn't last. They feel great at first and don't tangle, but soon after the rubber becomes brittle and flakes away. This is not a fault of mine, I have a cable at work that has done nothing but sit on my desk and the rubber is so brittle that just touching the wire causes bits to flake off. There is the same problem with the laptop chargers and the headphones. I wish Apple would test their products for longevity, not just how the look fresh out the box.

As long as you pull it out with the plug and not the cable then they don't break. I'm still using my original cable from 3 years ago.

You can go to pound land and get the same thing, if you assume that we buy your merchandise for the logo you're mistaken- on my part at least. I buy your products because they are (although recently the more appropriate word is were) good quality; and hence, I didn't mind paying an extortionate amount. The cable I had was for my i pod- I took care of it, and disconnected it by pulling the base, not the actual wire part- broke within a year (HTC charger 4 years going strong). The metallic shield was visible (and touchable), and I would classify this as a fire hazard- I don't know how you haven't been sued yet. I think I'll go to pound land next time.
