what are the applications pre-installed in a MacBook Pro?

I plan to buy a new macbook pro (buying for the first time) but I want to know if the essential apps (especially macword, keynote, etc.) are already there or if I need to buy them separately?

thanks!

    -Chess
    *-Dashboard
    -DVD Player
    -FaceTime

You can buy these Apple apps off the Mac App Store

Note, you can use TextEdit as a temporary replacement to Pages (it can open .doc files, as well as write them) however you should sometime buy pages, or Microsoft Office.
