Snow Leopard Licensing Options
With the introduction of Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Apple is offering you an easy and cost effective way to upgrade your current operating system to Snow Leopard. There are two volume licensing programmes available for Snow Leopard and the programme that best suits you depends on your current Mac OS deployment.
Upgrading Mac OS X Leopard computers to Mac OS X Snow Leopard
If you are currently running Mac OS X Leopard on your installed base, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard using a special upgrade license. There is no tier pricing available for this special license and the minimum purchase entry level is 10 licences.
Upgrading Mac OS X Tiger computers to Mac OS X Snow Leopard
If you are currently running Mac OS X Tiger on your installed base, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard using our normal Apple Volume Licensing Programme (AVLP). Normal tier pricing is available and the minimum purchase entry level is 10 licences.
Apple Maintenance Programme
Once you have upgraded to Snow Leopard, you can protect your Mac OS X investment using the Apple Maintenance Programme. This enables you to subscribe to future Mac OS X software upgrades, instead of purchasing them separately each time they are released.
Media and Documentation
Media and documentation sets are available for purchase when you buy your Mac OS X volume license. When you place your software order, be sure to purchase any media and documentation you need.
Licensing Tiers Available
If you're upgrading from Mac OS X Leopard to Mac OS X Snow Leopard, tiered pricing is not available. The minimum purchase entry level is 10 licences.
If you're upgrading from Mac OS X Tiger to Mac OS X Snow Leopard, normal licensing tiers apply:
- 10 - 99 users
- 100 - 999 users
- 1000+ users
