Mail. Check your inbox. And keep it in check.

Viewing email on iPod touch is just like viewing email on a computer. Minus the boring, sitting-at-a-desk part. It’s your inbox, pocket-size and everything.

Get the message. And the attachments.

iPod touch supports rich HTML email, so images and photos appear right in the message. Open attachments in a dozen standard file and image formats, including PDF; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and iWork. Save photos to your photo library and keep them in your collection. And print email from your iPod touch with AirPrint.1

Email that’s beautiful to look at.

The high-resolution Retina display on iPod touch makes text so crisp and clear, it will literally change the way you see your email. Zoom in as much as you want — the amazing pixel density of 326 pixels per inch renders text beautifully at any size, with no distracting pixelation.

Keep in touch from multiple accounts.

There’s the email account you use for school, the one for family, and the one for friends. iPod touch helps you stay in touch with all your accounts. Access them from popular providers — Google Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, and AOL — and most industry-standard IMAP and POP mail systems.

Compose instantly.

iPod touch recognizes email addresses in different applications. If you run across an email address on a web page or a map listing, for example, just tap it and iPod touch opens a new message and addresses it for you.

Type smart.

With its built-in dictionary, the intelligent iPod touch keyboard predicts and corrects words as you type. So you can speed through your message. Emphasize your words by formatting text in bold, italics, or underline. Rotate iPod touch to landscape and instantly the keys get larger and there’s more room to type.

With Search, email has nowhere to hide.

No need to scroll through message after message in your inbox looking for the right one. A quick downward flick brings up a search field so you can search within the body of the message or by sender, recipient, or subject.

It’s you @me.com.

With iCloud, you get a free me.com email account that works great with Mail on iPod touch. It’s ad-free and protects against spam. And once you set it up the way you like, all your folders stay up to date, no matter which device you’re using.2
