The real-time design engine in Motion 3 allows you to animate in real time — and even make changes while it’s playing back. Press a key or slide a fader back and forth. Drag a behaviour, then drag another one on top of it. With Motion 3, you’ll play as you go.

Motion 3 makes it possible to create animations interactively, or enjoy the creative freedom of rapid iteration. Tools for precise refinement or completely custom effects are only a click away. For final output, render in GPU-accelerated 16- and 32-bit floating point colour.
Progressive interface
From simplicity to precision, Motion 3 gives you the best of both worlds with its progressive interface. Intuitive heads-up displays and drag-and-drop tools accomplish the basics with ease. A single click reveals a comprehensive set of controls for timing adjustment, keyframe editing and parameter settings.
Flexible animation tools
Apply behaviours for a rapid, fluid approach to animation, or take advantage of full keyframe curve editing for fine-grained precision. Even mix and match to get just the effect you want.
Behaviors. Behaviours are used to produce natural-looking motion and realistic simulations of interactions among objects. Just drag a behaviour — such as Gravity, Repel, Throw or Vortex — onto the Canvas to set objects bouncing, spinning or orbiting.
Behaviours can also be used to trigger sets of parameters, like the new Audio behaviour that can synchronise your animation to a soundtrack. Choose from more than 100 behaviours that make it easy to set things in motion.
Keyframes. The Keyframe Editor lets you draw animation curves in a flash. Squish, stretch and reposition groups of keyframes using the flexible transform box. Motion 3 lets you use time-saving keyboard shortcuts to call up curves for position, opacity, rotation, scale, shear and anchor point.
