Understanding Reporting - Sales Categories
The affiliate program does not allow you to drill down to see what specific items are sold, but you can get an overview of the type or category of products you sell. You can also look at the sales productivity of each link.
The Individual Item report (LinkShare) or a Top Products report (TradeDoubler) allows you to get an overview of the type of products you sell. This can be even more helpful when tied to user level tracking (Signature program for LinkShare and EPI for TradeDoubler) as then you can look at the types of products you are selling (sales categories) as well as sales by link.
For partners using LinkShare (US, CA and JP) this information is found in the "Advanced Reporting" section of the dashboard under the "Individual Items" report. Partners using TradeDoubler (Europe) can find this information under "Other Reports" and then select "Top Products."
