A day in the life of an Apple employee is never dull. Here are a few perspectives to give you a sense of what it's like to work in Legal, Human Resources, & Facilities.
Apple has smarter and more talented people than any other high tech company I've worked at, leading to challenges that I have not encountered at other companies. We only hire the best talent around, which means we have to be very creative in our searches.
"I've noticed a major change in Apple's hiring philosophy in the last four years. We used to hire folks who knew Apple inside and out. Now we go out and find the best talent, which often leads us to people who don't know much about Apple, other than what they read in the paper."
Dale, Human Resources
"When I came to Apple for my interview, I was struck by the dynamic and smart people I met. They are not only bright and proactive, but also very down to earth and sociable. The experience I have gained in my five years here is just fantastic. I love working at Apple not only because it's challenging and forward thinking, but because the people are so clever and really put all their energy into the business even when times are tough."
Sarah, Human Resources
"There is no typical day in my job, which is what makes it exciting. I enjoy being behind the scenes to make every project or event successful, from helping with the development of the retail stores before they opened to assisting at beer bashes on campus in Cupertino. It's refreshing to be in an environment where we work as a team and everyone does their part to ensure success."
Joe, Facilities
"We often recruit for confidential projects where we can share little about the work. But our recruiters are incomparable at describing the excitement and energy that comes with any position at Apple. That, along with each candidate's total faith in Apple's ability to produce great products, attracts the best and brightest."
Todd, Human Resources
The Legal team routinely consults with and advises business groups regarding issues affecting Apple, with a focus on day-to-day operations. We monitor legal trends and anticipate possible issues that may affect the company, and work with Senior Attorneys within the department to address those issues. Since Apple has many relationships with outside organizations, we review, revise, and negotiate agreements with all third parties for services they provide for Apple in conjunction with Indirect Procurement and other organizations as needed. And we work as a team to coordinate the delivery of legal services to applicable business groups inside Apple.
