Global Supply Manager/In-direct Procurement

Asia Pacific Corporate Procurement, is responsible for supporting the Japan and regional indirect procurement process, purchasing, commodities and/or services for Apple’s Japan business groups, ensuring the best leverage of company dollars. The Global Supply Manager should display an overall knowledge of indirect goods and services. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with thorough knowledge in procurement, purchasing, negotiation skills and contract knowledge. The Global Supply Manager will help facilitate and lead as appropriate with other functions at Apple (such as Legal, Finance, Risk Management and Business Groups), in the supplier selection process and in contract and price negotiations.

職務内容

  • Implements and maintains Indirect Procurement policies, procedures and control systems for Pacific regional locations. Provides input and feedback into the entire international procurement team including strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Work with business teams to develop and utilize RFI (Request for Information), RFP (Request for Proposal), and RFQ (Request for Quote) techniques to identify, select, and engage with suppliers to ensure competitive market advantage. Implements supplier-sourcing strategies that ensure high quality, on time delivery and cost competitiveness.
  • Implements proactive procurement philosophies, strategies, policies, procedures, and systems. Successfully integrates Statements of Work into Contracts in order to leverage spend and reduce costs. The GSM influences cross-functional organizations while enhancing strong internal relationships in order to meet business requirements and cost objectives.
  • Initiates Supplier Performance Reviews with the internal business group to measure and document performance levels, identify development areas, perform root cause analysis and establish corrective action plans for improved performance.
  • Coordinates and leverages, as necessary, with worldwide procurement organization to obtain the best value for Apple.

応募資格

  • Written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.
  • Proved knowledge of procurement principles and strong negotiation/contract skills.
  • Normally requires BA/BS degree plus 6-8 years or MA/MS/MBA degree plus 3-5 years in-direct procurement experience, or equivalent.
