How long is my Power Mac covered by Apple's warranty?
Your Power Mac is covered by Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty. Warranty service for eligible repairs is available at no charge for twelve months from the date of original retail purchase ("date of purchase").

How can I tell if my Power Mac is in-warranty?
Your Power Mac is covered by Apple's One Year Limited Warranty for one year from the date of original purchase. Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty begins on the date that the Power Mac was originally purchased. Apple may need to examine your proof of purchase document to verify your Power Mac's warranty status.

How much will my in-warranty service be?
Warranty service for eligible repairs is available at no charge for twelve months from the date of original retail purchase ("date of purchase").

How do I get my Power Mac serviced?
To receive service for your Power Mac, you have three easy options:

Will the data on my Power Mac be preserved?
Some types of repairs require Apple to replace or reformat the hard disk. Please make sure you back up your data on a regular basis to minimize your data loss. .Mac members may download and use Backup to save an archive of their data to a series of CDs.

How long will my Power Mac service take?
Your service time largely depends on the availability of repair parts. Be sure to ask how long your repair will take when you deliver your machine for service.

Can I extend service coverage on my Power Mac beyond the warranty?
The AppleCare Protection Plan for Power Mac extends hardware repair service and technical support coverage to three years from the Power Mac's date of purchase. Power Mac customers may also enroll one Apple display for coverage, provided that the Power Mac and the display are purchased together. The AppleCare Protection Plan for Power Mac must be purchased while the Power Mac is covered under Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty.

My Power Mac warranty has expired. What are my service options?
If your warranty has expired, you still have access to all available service options, but you will be responsible for the cost of parts and labor. AppleCare, your local Apple Authorized Service Provider or your Apple Store representative should provide a repair cost estimate to you before repairing your machine.

One of my Power Mac accessories isn’t working. Can I order a replacement?
Most accessories that shipped with your computer can replaced. please contact your local Apple Authorized Service Provider.

What kind of activities will void my warranty?
Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty for Power Mac excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. Please review the warranty for further details. Apple reserves the right to refuse service on Power Macs that are outside their warranty if damage has occurred due to accident, abuse or misuse. In such event, Apple will return your Power Mac to you without providing service, and may hold you responsible for shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax. Does Apple warrant my Power Mac service?
If Apple provides service under warranty, the terms of the warranty and applicable provisions of law will cover defects in materials and workmanship that arise during the warranty or 90 days after Power Mac service, whichever provides longer coverage for you. If Power Mac service is provided outside of warranty, Apple warrants that the repairs to your Power Mac will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of the Power Mac service.
