Soundtrack Pro 3. Flexible Workflows.
Soundtrack Pro 3 is designed to work seamlessly with other Final Cut Studio applications and Logic Pro, and it supports industry-standard interchange formats for working with third-party software. Deep hardware integration means you can choose from a variety of audio interfaces and control surfaces.
Integration with Final Cut Studio applications
From Final Cut Pro, send a clip to the File Editor or send an entire sequence to the multitrack Timeline in Soundtrack Pro — all with a single click. Instantly return audio clips — or an entire mix — from Soundtrack Pro to Final Cut Pro.
Use the Conform feature in Soundtrack Pro for automatic updating of your audio project to match editorial changes made in Final Cut Pro. You can also round-trip files between Soundtrack Pro and Motion.
Integration with Logic Pro
Send individual files from Logic Pro to the nondestructive File Editor in Soundtrack Pro, so you
can easily and precisely repair, restore, or fine-tune your file. When you save the file in Soundtrack Pro, your Logic Pro project instantly updates. You can also score a project in Logic Pro, then send the music to Soundtrack Pro to add it to the mix.
OMF and AAF interchange
Support for software interchange lets you move complete multitrack projects between Soundtrack Pro 3 and other industry-standard audio applications. You can import OMF files and import and export AAF files.
Hardware integration
Record or output audio using any Mac OS X Core Audio-compatible I/O device. If you connect an Apogee Ensemble or Duet, you can use a software control panel in Soundtrack Pro to adjust the hardware remotely.
Control surfaces let you edit and mix your projects with greater speed and flexibility. Soundtrack Pro supports any surface that uses the Mackie Control or Logic Control protocols. New support for the EuCon protocol lets you connect any Euphonix control surface, with options ranging from fully equipped Pro Series consoles to portable Artist Series units.
