Worried that your library of research papers, memos, reports, spreadsheets or other Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents wont make the trip to your new Mac? Heres a fact: Microsoft Office runs great on the Mac. In fact, many people think that the version of Office for the Mac, Office v. X, is the best version of Office ever. The data created with Word, Excel and PowerPoint on your PC will come across to your new Mac, worry free, and fonts too, provided all are present on the Mac.
Perhaps youd like to see a comparison of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint documents on both PC and Mac.
The following steps locate folders containing word processing documents, spreadsheets, presentations and other productivity documents you want to transfer to your new Mac.

Open the My Documents folder on the desktop and identify any folders that contain word processing documents, spreadsheets, presentation files or other productivity documents. |
Click on one of the folders and copy it using the Copy command in the Edit menu. |
Click on the Office Documents folder of the Switch CD and transfer the PC folder using the Paste command in the Edit menu. You can accomplish the same thing by dropping the PC folder in the Switch window. |
Repeat the previous two steps for additional folders that contain documents you would like to transfer. |
Look for any useful documents you might have stored on your desktop. Copy those files to the Documents folder of the Switch CD as well. |
