The new MobileMe iDisk app brings the convenience of iDisk to your iPhone and iPod touch. You can directly view files including iWork and Microsoft Office documents, PDFs, and QuickTime movies. And if you want to share a file with someone else, just tap the share icon next to the file to email a download link that works great with both small and large files. Watch this video to see how it works.
To install the free iDisk app directly on your iPhone or iPod touch, make sure you are running iPhone OS 3.0 and then:
Go to the App Store and search for "MobileMe iDisk"
Select the app, tap Free, and then Install
You can also download the app using iTunes on your computer and it will be installed the next time you sync your device.

One simple way to increase the security of your life online is to change your account password periodically. You can change your MobileMe Account password at any time by logging into me.com and clicking the Account icon. On the Account page, click Password Settings, enter your current password and then a new one, click Save and it's done. (See this help article for tips on picking a good password.)
Don't forget to enter your new password in the system settings for all the devices where you use MobileMe services. Use the MobileMe System Preference (Mac), the MobileMe Control Panel (PC), and the Mail, Contacts, Calendars section of Settings (iPhone and iPod touch) to enter your new MobileMe password.

Should you ever forget your MobileMe password, go to the MobileMe login page at me.com and click the Forgot password link. You'll be taken to a page and given the option of resetting your password by answering a secret question to establish your identity. It's important to have a secret question and answer that others can't guess or research, but you can easily remember. You can change your security question and answer by logging into me.com and selecting Account, clicking Password Settings and then the Show Security Information button. Here are tips for picking a good secret question.
The other option for resetting a forgotten password is to have an email sent to an alternate email address with reset instructions. This only works if the email address is active so you'll need to remember to change it if you switch to a different one. You can do so by logging into your me.com Account page and selecting Personal Information.

With the iPhone OS 3.0 Software Update you can search your MobileMe Mail on your iPhone or iPod touch, including messages stored on the MobileMe cloud (server). To take advantage of the capability, begin by installing the iPhone OS 3.0 Software Update if you haven't already. Then select your Inbox or another folder from your MobileMe Mail account and access the search field by scrolling to the top of the message list. (Tap the status bar at the top to quickly reveal the search field.) Type what you want to search for and tap To, From, or Subject, or All to search all three. You'll see the messages that match the search on your device, and you can then tap "Continue Search on Server" to see the remaining messages that are stored in the MobileMe cloud.

We recently updated the web applications at me.com. In Mail, you can now see your unread message count in your Inbox and in each of your Mail folders, and forwarding or replying to HTML (rich text) messages now maintains the messages' original formatting. In addition, there is a direct link to Help in the toolbar. See this support article for more details and a summary of other improvements.
A reminder: for the best MobileMe experience, you should use the latest versions of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard (if you use a Mac), iTunes and MobileMe Control Panel (if you use a PC), and iPhone OS 3.0 (iPhone or iPod touch).
