Setting up Microsoft Outlook with MobileMe Mail

  1. In the Tools menu, choose Account Settings.
  2. Click the New button in the E-mail tab.
  3. If this is the first email account you’re adding to Outlook, go to step 4. If you already have other email accounts configured in Outlook, choose “Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP” and click Next.
  4. Click the checkbox next to “Manually configure server settings.” Click Next.
  5. Choose Internet E-mail and click Next.
  6. Enter your name, MobileMe email address, member name, password, and the following server information:
    Account type: IMAP
    Incoming mail server: mail.me.com
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.me.com

    Do not select “Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).”

  7. Click More Settings.
  8. Go to the Outgoing Server tab and enable the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” option. “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” should also be selected. Click OK.
  9. Click Next. Click Finish. Your MobileMe email is now set up in Outlook.
  10. Your new account will show up in the left column of Outlook Mail. To see all of your mail folders, click the plus button next to your account. If you are having trouble viewing your IMAP mail folders, go to Tools > IMAP Folders and click Query. Select the folders you want to see in Outlook and click Subscribe.
