  1. Take your Mac Pro to a local Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP).
  2. Take your Mac Pro to an Apple retail store.
  3. Contact Apple by phone.

Some types of repairs require Apple to replace or reformat the hard disk. Please make sure you back up your data on a regular basis to minimize your data loss.

How long will my Mac Pro service take?
Your service time largely depends on the availability of repair parts. Be sure to ask how long your repair will take when you deliver your machine for service.

You can check the status of your Mac Pro service at any time on our easy service status website.
Can I extend service coverage on my Mac Pro beyond the warranty?
The AppleCare Protection Plan for Mac Pro extends hardware repair service and technical support coverage to three years from the Mac Pro's date of purchase. Mac Pro customers may also enroll one Apple display for coverage, provided that the Mac Pro and the display are purchased together. The AppleCare Protection Plan for Mac Pro must be purchased while the Mac Pro is covered under Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty.

My Mac Pro warranty has expired. What are my service options?
If your warranty has expired, you still have access to all available service options, but you will be responsible for the cost of parts and labor. AppleCare, a local Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) or an Apple retail store representative should provide a repair cost estimate to you before repairing your machine.

One of my Mac Pro accessories isn’t working. Can I order a replacement?
Most accessories that shipped with your computer can replaced. Please check out our Online Service Assistant for more information. If you need additional assistance, please contact your local Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP), your local Apple retail store, or call Apple . A technical agent can help you diagnose the failure and order a replacement part, if necessary.

What kind of activities are excluded from my warranty coverage?
Apple’s One-Year Limited Warranty for Mac Pro excludes coverage for damage resulting from a number of events, including accident, liquid spill or submersion, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. If damage is outside the scope of warranty coverage, service may be available through a local AASP or an Apple retail store, but all service charges will be your responsibility. In such an event, you will be asked to approve the estimated charges and accept the terms and conditions for service before authorizing the repair. If the repair is performed at an Apple retail store Apple's Repair Terms and Conditions will govern service. Repair service for a Mac Pro that has experienced catastrophic damage, for example extensive liquid damage or a severe impact that results in the product being disassembled into multiple pieces, is generally not available and not eligible for service.

Does Apple warrant my Mac Pro service?
If Apple provides service under warranty, the terms of the warranty and applicable provisions of law will cover defects in materials and workmanship that arise during the warranty or 90 days after Mac Pro service, whichever provides longer coverage for you. If Mac Pro service is provided outside of warranty, Apple warrants that the repairs to your Mac Pro will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of the Mac Pro service.
