Does the New Ipad have GPS?

The above answers are mostly wrong. I say mostly because most users have a WiFi only iPad, and those do NOT have a GPS. Only the 4G versions have a GPS

Not sure about the newest ipads, but I believe they are the same as the old ones.
Ipads with cellular capability have an A-GPS (assisted GPS) chip. WIFI only ipads do not have an A-GPS chip. Assisted GPS is GPS that has the added capability of using network resources (cellular or WIFI) to locate. A-GPS allows for faster positioning and accuracy. You do not need to have an active data plan in order to use A-GPS.
Although WIFI only iPads do not have the A-GPS chip, they can still locate by using WIFI triangulation. It's just not as fast, accurate, or reliable as A-GPS
