Voor blinden en slechtzienden heeft Apple in elke Mac een oplossing ingebouwd, zodat ook zij op een computer kunnen werken. Het is betrouwbaar, gemakkelijk te leren en zeer prettig in het gebruik. Het heet VoiceOver.

Ondersteuning voor brailleleesregels
OS X Lion bevat softwaredrivers voor USB- en draadloze Bluetooth-brailleleesregels, zodat je ze direct kunt aansluiten en gebruiken zonder extra software te installeren. Doordat alles wat je nodig hebt al onderdeel is van het Mac-besturingssysteem, kun je je eigen brailleleesregel zelfs al direct gebruiken als je de Mac voor de eerste keer gebruikt.
