How can I tell if my iSight needs service?
Visit our iSight support site for helpful troubleshooting information. If you have reviewed the articles on the website, and you're still not sure whether your iSight requires service, you can contact Apple. Alternatively, you can take your iSight to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider for diagnosis.

Note: There may a fee for diagnostic service.

How long is my iSight covered by Apple's warranty?
Your iSight is covered by Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty. Warranty service for eligible repairs is available at no charge for twelve months from the date of original retail purchase ("date of purchase").

How can I tell if my iSight is in-warranty?
Your iSight is covered by Apple's One Year Limited Warranty for one year from the date of original purchase. Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty begins on the date that the iSight was originally purchased. Apple may need to examine your proof of purchase document to verify your iSight's warranty status.

How much will my in-warranty service be?
Warranty service for eligible repairs is available at no charge for twelve months from the date of original retail purchase ("date of purchase").

How do I get my iSight serviced?
iSight service options can be found on our website. You may be charged a service fee.

How long will my iSight service take?
Your service will take approximately one week from the date we receive your iSight for service to the date you receive your replacement iSight.

What is the status of my iSight service request?

My iSight warranty has expired. What are my service options?
If your iSight is no longer covered under Apple's One Year Limited Warranty and it requires service, Apple will replace your iSight for a service fee of $149US, plus $6.95 shipping. Replacement iSights may be new, used or refurbished. Service may not be available if your iSight has been damaged due to accident or abuse.

One of my iSight accessories isn’t working. Can I order a replacement?
iSight service options can be found on our website. You may be charged for the replacement accessory, local taxes and $6.95 for shipping, if your iSight is no longer covered by Apple's warranty.

What kind of activities are excluded from my warranty coverage?
Apple’s One-Year Limited Warranty for iSight excludes coverage for damage resulting from a number of events, including accident, liquid spill or submersion, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. If damage is outside the scope of warranty coverage, service may be available through a local AASP or an Apple retail store, but all service charges will be your responsibility. In such an event, you will be asked to approve the estimated charges and accept the terms and conditions for service before authorizing the repair. If the repair is performed at an Apple retail store Apple's Repair Terms and Conditions will govern service. Repair service for a iSight that has experienced catastrophic damage, for example extensive liquid damage or a severe impact that results in the product being disassembled into multiple pieces, is generally not available and not eligible for service.

Does Apple warrant my iSight service?
If Apple provides service under warranty, the terms of the warranty and applicable provisions of law will cover defects in materials and workmanship that arise during the warranty or 90 days after iSight service, whichever provides longer coverage for you. If iSight service is provided outside of warranty, Apple warrants that the repairs to your iSight will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of the iSight service.
